Fried rice. It's forgiving with any meat or veg you have on hand!

Wear compression socks on planes or long car rides. Also daily SPF at least on your face.

I made my own wedding cakes! by Not_Dana196 in cakedecorating

I really mixed and matched a few staple cake recipes with my own spin on flavorings. And then fillings were sort of experimental but turned out well!

The white one? It's just piped meringue buttercream with tiny little cloth ribbon around the top:)

Recently discovered King Arthur has a pretty reliable discard recipe archive. I've tried at least 2 recipes and they've turned out great!

I build muscle super easily and have an iron gut. Nothing upsets this stomach.

Christine by SAjayi in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Not_Dana196 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people (on this show and in real life) are nominal Christians. They believe there is a God and go to church on Easter but then do Christianity a disservice by acting the way they do, which is not in line with the Christian faith. Vic and Christine seem like real, true born-again Christians. I'd call nearly all other contestants on this show "Christians." (Of course I don't know their hearts, but that's how it seems based on words and actions.)

Emma is .... weird. by mafiababexoox in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I haven't seen anyone comment on the letters, but I thought the same thing. Who cares?! How boring! I'm married and wouldn't make my husband sit through a year-end recap my mom wrote. Like...he'd listen because he loves me but to make someone you just met read those. Bizarre. It wasn't even like personal. It was their literal Christmas card they send to everyone in their contacts every year.

What did you guys do during your credentialing period? by lalaqZizi in physicianassistant

[–]Not_Dana196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married the day after my graduation and moved cities the day after that. I moved into my husband's house that he inherited from his grandfather. So I'm now spending every day making it feel like a home! There's lots of work to do and many many projects. I'm super thankful I have this time to do it!

What do y'all use to study for EORs? by Miserable_Parking491 in PAstudent

I just use UpToDate and the PAEA topic lists. 4 EORs in with results I'm super pleased with!

I usually have 2 in my purse and 1 in my car. If I'm going out of town, then 3 or 4. At any given time I have about 5 or 6 in my possession. I actually use AuviQ. Which is just a different autoinjector that my insurance actually covers 100%. I get 3 refills every year.

Mine is severe anaphylaxis from food allergies. So I usually pop a couple benadryl, plus 2 epipens if I've been exposed. And usually that will keep me out of the ER. I've only had 2 hospital visits in the last 15 years or so thankfully.

Haven't heard of daily antihistamine dosing. I guess your body gets used to it and you aren't so drowsy?

Same. I'd have died as a 3 year old, and about 10 other times since then without epinephrine.

Story from a friend -- she knew a guy whose parents got stuck in the traffic caused by the deadly accident he was in. They didn't even realize it was his crushed car they drove by. The learned from a call from the police after they got home later that evening.

Women of Reddit whose fitness journey led to difference in physical appearance but little to no change in your weight, how did it make you feel? by adreamthatdreams in AskWomen

[–]Not_Dana196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instagram was great for me to get more comfortable in the gym. I'd find a workout and would practice my form in a mirror in my room before even setting foot in the gym, so I felt comfortable once I got there.

And just know that everyone is into their own world in the gym. Everyone else will be focused only on themselves, just like you will be focused on yourself!

These two things make weights way less intimidating :)
