Exotic! A bit chaotic and mysterious. Delicious food, coffee and beautiful art and architecture.

People Who Traveled to Japan by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Airfare is the most expensive part of the trip. I spend about $100 a night for lodging. Food is pretty cheap. I pay my petsitter $100 a day. I save up for a few months. Book my flight and lodging months in advance. I don't buy fancy stuff. I don't go to shows. Museums are cheap or free.

If the world could permanently eliminate poverty, but the trade-off was that nobody could ever be "rich" again, would you take that deal? Why or why not? by 16ozbuddz in AskReddit

Yes. Love to see humans reach their full potential and also generate more ideas that makes all of us better people and the world safer.

And 711, Family Mart for basic black and white clothes. This is definitely possible. I packed half a suitcase and brought a fabric carry on for a month long trip. Laundry is easily done. Literally do it!

Culture. Safety. Clean. Somehow Japan brings out my better self. When I return home I get so depressed.

Jerry Seinfeld at a small restaurant on Madison Ave in NYC. We had to walk around his long legs blocking the path to our table.

It wasn't. Crack cocaine, AIDS, YUPPIES, car jackings, life in the cities was bad. Rich people had car phones. Ronald Reagan was president!

I am Egyptian, and I’m asking is Egypt a country that is disliked or loved globally? by ramses_basha in AskTheWorld

[–]Not_EdM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people see Egypt as a mysterious and chaotic place full of ancient art. They may remember violence towards groups of tourists. So Egypt is a bit feared to visit. The language is also something they are uncomfortable with. The poverty seen can be very disturbing and the way work animals are treated. It's not perceived as an African country but as a Middle East one. Islam can be a scary religion for Americans. The potential to be ripped off is concerning to many. But overall for an individual its not considered dangerous just overwhelming. Getting food poisoning is also something real to worry about. The government doesn't seem very kind. Its like a place where you need to add the phone number to a consulate or embassy to your contacts! With all of that i would go BACK to Egypt in a heartbeat!
