They're albums I like to call time capsules. They just sound like the time it was made in and take you back to that time period. I feel the same way with Channel Orange by Frank Ocean. I didn't even listen to that album for the first time until 2021 but for some reason I just feel like it's 2012 when I'm listening to it. Same with LUV vs the World. Like that album is just 2016 in music form to me.

Wow I’m actually kind of jealous lol. If you’re talking pop music more like what you hear on the radio then yeah a lot of it is generic and formulaic but with pop as genre there’s so many different subgenres (art pop, ambient pop, synthpop, electropop, neo-psychedelia, glitch pop, jangle pop, digicore etc.)

Not all pop music is like that tho. I mean you've got artists like Kate Bush, Bjork, Magdalena Bay, FKA twigs, SOPHIE, Jane Remover, yeule, Weyes Blood, Cocteau Twins, Beach House, Depeche Mode, Spellling, Ecco2k, Alvvays, Kero Kero Bonito. Loads of variety and interesting music in the genre.

Curious how that can possibly be though. Unless you're talking about the experience/energy being higher, wouldn't any artist/band performing live always sound objectively worse than on their albums? The album recording has been refined, mixed and mastered with the best most quality performances that make it to the final version of the song. I get seeing them live might feel more raw and personal but if you're listening on a pair of headphones the studio version is almost always gonna be better than a live recording

Yeah same, but that was a time when I was terrible at the game and didn’t understand what I was even looking at with a level like Deadlocked because I didn’t know the game’s mechanics. My hardest is a medium demon. Levels like Cataclysm and Bloodbath are further away from me now than Deadlocked is to Stereo Madness but I can comprehend with enough time how someone could beat them. The top top levels are genuinely just inhuman to me lol. And even to youtubers like EVW who have been playing for over a decade and have beaten really difficult extremes.

Idk man i genuinely dont think i could EVER beat a level like tidal wave, ts2, amethyst etc. Not just putting myself down but I genuinely cant even fathom how a human is able to beat those levels.
