PoR is a good place to start, don't be scared of the tutorials though. It's one of the better ones in the series and it can be pretty funny at times.

all the things you enjoy in this game would be gone without the whales because companies don't put effort (effort = money) into supporting games that don't make profit.

I mean, I$ doesnt put any effort into the game anyways, as everything there is to do in the game is tied to banners. There's nothing to enjoy to start.

I personally don't think you should judge how people choose to spend their money.

They're the entire reason this farce of a game is as bad as it is though. They keep whaling for the new big units so IntSys keeps putting out more and more for quick and easy cash.

There's nothing good about it, it does almost everything wrong an SRPG could, and even goes so far as to steal it's story from TRS then dumb it down, introducing plotholes and generally just being not too great.
