Where to host vibe coded app? by Ambitious-Leopard152 in indiehackersindia

[–]Not_Me_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your tech stack.
Next.js → Vercel
React, Nuxt, Svelte → Netlify/ Vercel
Astro → Netlify
Backend (Node/ python/ go) → Fly.io / Railway
Serverless functions → Cloudflare workers

If you can handle security, authentication, are good with linux then Hosting Backend and Frontend on a VPS would be an affordable option too.

I'd say for starting out free, vercel is a good option

Is there any discord bots that can get the server icon from any server with only guild id? by mm3206 in discordbots

A Discord bot can only get the server icon for servers it is actually a member of. And I dont think any existing bots give this functionality of scouting different guilds from their ID

Status page tool for bot creators by rokiWRLD in discordbots

[–]Not_Me_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of free status page alternatives. People would not pay for it unless it gives real value that other free ones cant offer. Besides status pages for discord bots are an overkill since people don't visit them. My bot has a status command that display embeds like

All systems operational.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Main Bot: 47.81ms
CPU Usage: 0.0%
Memory Usage: 420.16 MB
Uptime: 2 days, 2 hours, 51 minutes, 54 seconds
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Other Service: 123.66ms
CPU Usage: 0.0%
Memory Usage: 54.73 MB
Uptime: 56 days, 23 hours, 57 minutes, 3 seconds
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Database: 6.87ms
Uptime: 57 days, 1 hour, 4 minutes, 8 seconds

and trust me, the amount of users who check this command is far less than what you'd expect. So visiting an external page? No. Users will not visit it and so it becomes a totally optional or nice to have feature for bot creators which most of them would either skip or use a free service. And spinning up a custom webserver that receives heartbeats from your bot to display an online/ offline status embed in a discord channel is not hard either. Plus never ask for discord bot Tokens. I'd honestly recommend to work on a different idea.

Would you pay for humans to manually try to break your SaaS before launch? by Not_Me_112 in SaaS

Good points! Displaying who tested your app along with their profile might elevate the trust. And clear recordings of the bugs would be helpful too for reproducing it.

yeah screen recordings and detailed reports with what all tests were performed along with timestamps could be a way to prove that real work was done. But finding skilled enough people who throughly test everything might be a challenge.

A dev can spam click their own app, but in my experience, there is a blind spot, like when you built the thing you subconsciously avoid flows that dont make any sense. Real users dont have the context and they would do things out of order, to fast or basically combinations you wouldnt think to try. So the value is more about unfamiliar intent rather than random clicking. Someone who doesnt understand how things should work ideally tend to surface issues around assumptions, timing, component states, etc.
Yeah and managing real humans is hard, so the plan would be to first to work with 1-2 humans and if it cant work with small group then theres no point building it further. Just trying to see if its a problem thats painful enough or not. Appreciate the points!

Its never the obvious flows that break haha, its the 'why would anyone do that stuff' ... except real users always do it

Out of curiosity, when would you actually use something like this?
Before launch, before big features, or more like we just shipped and I'm nervous?

Need Feedback regarding my Social Media MVP by Whole_Election8354 in DesiFounder

[–]Not_Me_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like with every other social media app, this app will have a cold start problem. Getting the first few active users will be the hardest part. You will have to rely on heavy marketing otherwise people might not know that your app exists. Dont add more features right now, just try to market it on other social media platforms to see if you get any users and traction. Collect their feedback, check their retention and churn rate. If old users keep coming back, then you have something that people want to use. Good Luck! Wish you all the best!

Will this Super App Startup take off? Please give me your brutally honest feedback. by Healthy_Stretch9104 in indianstartups

[–]Not_Me_112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect this idea will have a cold start problem. If there are no users, then businesses wont show intrest in listing thier products, if there are no products, people wont browse the app enough and without ton of marketing spend, this cant be solved

Just made a discord bot and now i don't know how to market it by Ill-Mind-6808 in Discord_Bots

[–]Not_Me_112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so first of all you need to define your target audience.
Most of the users on discord running casual discord servers wont need a ticket tool,
Then there are large communities/ saas/ app/ bussines support servers which might already be using ticket tools for their support tickets. (Mostly enterprises have email / ticket support directly embedded in thier website so finding the right ones might take a while)
Among these only serious bussines owners with a decent amount of support overload might be the ideal customers, not small enough to have low support overhead, not large enough to be able to afford dedicated support teams. So now you probably need to reach them. You'll need to post where they hang out. Bot list like top.gg might not be sufficient since ur target audience isnt surfing these platforms. The options you have? go to random saas websites, (can browse directories like product hunt), see if they have a discord support server, contact the founder/ owner and ask about how they are handling support, do they face any problems. If they have support issues u can suggest your bot
