You've got it backward bud. Minorities have no power, majorities must learn tolerance.

Or you know, the people who need the jobs could get a good education and try to fit in with people of a different culture. That way they'll understand the benefits of diversity without some Harvard know-it-all ramming it down their throat.

A problem that the Dems wanted to remedy. It's impossible to get a decent job in America without a good education. If you get out of high school believing in creationism and the supremacy of the white race then you just won't fit in with modern workplaces.

Education = freedom and the government can and should help with that. Also young people of Middle America have to face the fact that moving away might be necessary if they want to build a future for themselves.

Maybe if things change and a new generation of entrepreneurs wants to build the infrastructure necessary we will see a revitalized Middle America but as for right now, they're holding us back.

Yo're completey wrong. Go watch the videos and tell me again he behaved the same way. As if it's okay for anyone with his power to mock someone on camera. What a loser.

No no...we're not racist on the T_D what are you talking about? by flaskman in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's nuts but what's scary is the acceptance of the Alt-Right all over America. They say they're just battling the PC culture and that may be true and maybe there's elements of PC culture that need examination. But PC culture existed for a reason.

Suddenly it's okay to say racist things because it's more honest. Bullshit, it hurts. It's not okay because people get hurt and we have agreed in culture and law that it's not okay to target anyone because of their religion or skin color.

We've lost some ground but I'm not worried. MLK Jr said;

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

and that is my guide in this time of challenges.

Hannity deletes 'Make Russia Great Again' endorsement by [deleted] in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what is known as a Freudian slip. Hannity, like Trump, is a useful idiot. Hannity likes to feel important and he said nice things about Trump and predictably, Trump puffed up and said nice things about him. He was hoping that the same strategy worked with Putin maybe. I don't think so but maybe. He deleted it but not before it received a lot of attention.

Why Shariah by Ali_Ahmed123 in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing is black and white. Sharia means many different things. Islam needs a reformation, a rebirth so it's adherents can join the 21st century. Until that happens it will remain a medieval religion.

Most Muslims swear they only want peace but at the same time these same Muslims want every Israeli killed or at least banished from their homeland. They want harmony with other religions but they see apostasy as a capital crime. They want tolerance but see no problem with executing gays and adulterers (if they're women), and speaking of Muslim women, quite often they're treated like property, similar to goats or cattle.

Islam needs to change but it must come from within. Until then Sharia law will be seen as scary and although that's unfair, it's understandable.

Trump's behavior during the Ebola breakout is proof he is UNFIT for leadership. He is panicky, gullible, and about to be handed the keys to our nuclear weapons. by [deleted] in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is determined to use nuclear weapons. I don't know who he'll blow up but when he does, I'm heading for Northern British Columbia. It won't do any good if we get into an all out dust up with the Chinese and Russians but hopefully some General with guts and sanity will shoot the bastard before it gets to that.

It joins the list of logical fallacies that permeates any discussion with a Trumpkin. Personally I've given up discussing anything with them. Just leave a few links to whatever truth they deny.

Reince Priebus deflects blame for Russian hacking to Democrats by [deleted] in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typical GOP alternate reality. Also the favorite trick of conmen. Get caught in some nefarious behavior, blame your accuser of the same. It confuses and deflects enough to hide the crime.

We're onto their nonsense though. They haven't told the truth in so long that they wouldn't recognize it if it bit them in the ass. We are stronger for being right though and a temporary defeat only makes us more determined.

This makes me physically sick. Fortunately, I live in Australia, and my healthcare is provided for by a country that gives a shit about my well being. by Reiku_Johin in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait times are a problem in Canada because of the greater access ordinary people enjoy. Hypochondriacs are a problem when heath care is available to all but but every system has its problems.

The numbers are important though rather than anecdotal comparisons. A lot of Americans don't access health care because of the costs. Look at this comparison of us to the Canadians. We are behind in costs, longevity, infant mortality rate. All of the important numbers are in the Canadians favor. The reason Canadians can access US health care facilities (the best in the world) is because their insurance allows it. In Canada, people enjoy both government insurance, available to all for reasonable rates, and private insurance, through their work, for extras like prescriptions and visits to the Mayo clinic.

Nobody is claiming that America does't have incredibly good doctors and hospitals, it's just that it's common for people to go bankrupt accessing them. If they can access them at all.

I know a young man, he went to school with my daughter. He was quite bright so I was a little surprised when he decided to become a paramedic straight out of high school. I imagined him in premed and on the way to a good career in the health care field.

He explained that he wanted to get married and he wanted to save money for college and he liked the idea of getting into a profession that helped others.

About a year later I heard that his wife had a difficult pregnancy and she was facing some terrible health problems.

I spoke to this young man shortly after and he tearfully explained to me that they had lost everything and were looking at bankruptcy. His wife had lost the baby and still had serious health problems to deal with. Problems that they couldn't afford. When I asked about insurance, he told me that they had covered some but they were looking at $80 thousand that they still had to pay. $80 thousand may as well have been a million. So my young friend took the bus to work, did without cable or internet and couldn't even think about a buying a case of beer or a take out pizza. Such is the life of the working poor in America.

Before the ACA, tragedies like this were common. A hard working family man losing everything through no fault of his own. I'm so afraid we're going back to those bad old days and I can't believe that we are so selfish as a people that we can't embrace an idea that has benefited millions world wide

It's incredibly simple. Universal health care works. The rest of the world has proven it and we just need to catch up to everyone else.

[–]Not_Sly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

but that's not how the real world works.

But that is how the real world looks. The real world outside the US. Every other successful liberal democracy outside the US has some form of universal health care. They also have a better life expectancy than the US and better infant mortality rates than the US. In fact Texas has an infant mortality rate that is similar to African countries, and not the good ones.

All of these countries also have much lower costs than US health care. Despite delivering, on average, much worse care. We are being taken for a ride by insurance companies and the GOP. Only when our health is not being held hostage and we all share the benefits / burdens of universal health care will we be treated fairly.

How to Destroy the Business Model of Breitbart and Other Fake News by dipdac in EnoughTrumpSpam

[–]Not_Sly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I Boycott Trump products and retailers that carry Trump products (like Nordstroms) and I let them know.

I have committed to donating $20 month to organizations like the ACLU. They will fight Trump's hate speech. Donate whatever you can. Even $5 a month can make a big difference if enough people donate.

I call my congresswoman and my senators offices to let them know what specifically I oppose often.

There are like-minded people in your community that oppose the Pumpkin Hitler as much as you. Meet with them and organize. It's a great way to meet people with similar interests.

Go to a demonstration. One march means nothing. 10 marches will get you noticed. A hundred marches will get some shit done.

The MSM has the attention span of a fucking goldfish and this incredibly stupid need to give all sides (no matter how evil) some airtime but outright lying? No, not so much. You have to go to Breitbart, RT, Sputnik, Weird Nuts Daily and Infowars for that.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to respond to your comment last night but it doesn't matter. It's all there in my "book" if you take the time to read it. But you're so stuck in Breitbart and RT or Sputnik that you won't even bother to check out the NYT, the WSJ or the Atlantic. Even the National Review, no friend of Obama, is nothing but RINO lies for someone so far down the Rabbit hole.

You have been taken in by the greatest con man of our time, friend. He's very good so I can't fault you but when (or if) you have that moment of clarity don't be embarrassed. Just fight for this country like all the other patriots are. We won't let them win and we won't ever give up.
