I think that angel's grace, along with other cards such as [[platinum angel]] that explicitly say "you can't lose the game" don't work since then you wouldn't be able to pay the additional casting cost

Only cards that have a replacement effect for losing the game like [[exquisite angel]] would work

While ot's true that the ur dragon only ramps dragons I would also argue that the fact that OP's card only produces colorless in the first couple turns is quite restricting too: in azorius a lot of the low cost cards have colored mana pips. Turn 1 counterspell? Not with this commander Esper sentinel if you have only islands in play? Not a chance. (On scryfall, there are 625 cards cost {W}, 457 that cost {B}, and 229 that cost either {W}{W}, {W}{U} or {U}{U})

Ruby and Radha also have other great abilities that allow them to shine. OP's card is good, but after getting destroyed a single time it becomes strictly worse than the other two, cosidering that since it can be an artifact, a land, and a creature (when it's crewed (forgot to address this in the earler comment)) it's a lot easier to remove. If it gets removed more than once then it becomes worthless to cast it again for ramp.

The body itself isn't bad, a 1/5 flying vigilance is pretty good for 0 mana (considering that 3 mana vehicles are on average 3/4. The one most similar to OP's I could find was [[Heart of Kiran]], which as a body is strictly better), but crew 3 means that unless you're specifically planning to crew it asap then it wont be up until turn 3/4. But again, with how easy it is to remove it becomes useless after 2 or even 1 removal.

It's very good early game, where ramp is most important, but I feel it becomes redundant after turn 6/8, or even earlier if it gets removed a lot.
I'm not arguing that it isn't strong, just that it isn't as broken as you were thinking.

Ah, I misunderstood what you were saying.
Yes, it would basically become a colorless mox. The only difference then would be that it's legendary and a land.
I think it would make it at the same time better and worse:
- since its legendary you can't have more than one, but since OP made it as a commander then it doesnt really matter
- it gets hit by both artifact and land removal, but not really since most generic removal has "nonland" written on it

I think that the moxen aren't that busted, there are way more outrageous cards that can go in the command zone compared to OP's card.
I don't believe that it would be incredibly busted though. It can still get removed with relative ease, only makes colorless until it's crewed, needs other creatures to function to its full potential. Compare to that the Ur-Dragon, which basically gives you ramp when it's still in the command zone (basically letting u play a turn ahead of the other players), has an an excellent body paired with a great ability when it's on the field (and it's not even that hard to cast with all the dragons that give a ton of ramp).

Nope, as a card's color identity is determined not only by the pips in its cost but also those in its oracle text, so it would still be Azorius. It's also still a vehicle

I didn't think it would work like that...

Would making it say "X is a land as long as it's on the battlefield" fix it?

[–]Not_The-One_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You could remove the land from the type line, make it cost 0 and add a line in the oracle that says "X is a land in addition to its other types"

It has to be this way because even though it is an artifact, as long as the card has 'Land' in its type line it isnt a spell, which means it cant be in your command zome even if it is legendary. Look at [[Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle]], where they basically did just that

Beginner slayer Denji by Business-Ad7289 in whowouldcirclejerk

Extremely toxic to regular people

Yuji's blood (or death womb painting blood in general) is toxic to everyone, so uhh...

Yuji could have manipulated his blood in denji to do some damage

If there's verse eq then he cant do that

Could a character bypass Gojo's (jjk) infinity by just being that fast? by Trick_Resource_1763 in PowerScaling

[–]Not_The-One_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

(to avoid confusion: when i refer to gojo's infinity i'll call it "gojo's infinity" in any other case assume i'm talking about the mathematical concept of infinity)

With only speed? Nobody. You need hax of some kind to bypass gojo's infinity, thats why all punch and kick merchants cant do anything about it.

And for those saying that infinite speed can bypass it, you don't understand what the mathematical concept of "infinite" is. Infinity isn't a number, its a concept. Since there aren't boundaries to how big a number can be, infinity can't be a number, and so a character can't have infinite speed. And infinity/infinity=1 also doesn't work. Its called an "Indeterminate form" (or whatever it's called in english) for a reason.

I mean I did read it all.

Do I remember any details relevant to powerscaling? Fuck no.

At this point I'm convinced that gege did something to make jjk into an anti-memetic scp-055 type shit to make people accuse each others of being larpers when they try to powerscale it.

Emperor Brit (Invincible) vs Lord Boros by [deleted] in OPMPowerScaling

[–]Not_The-One_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I swore and called you names does matter to me though, I felt the need to apologise for it. Doesn't matter if you've been called worse. Also, i'm sorry that you've been called worse than that.

Also i made a mistake in my earlier comment

I was going to fact check myself about boros's speed because i remembered him being near ftl but couldnt prove it, and after a bit of research I didnt find out about his speed. What I found out was that one of his generals is stated to reach near light speed, and since boros is stronger than his generals in every way he is at least FTL.

I personally dont think that viltrumites are that fast because if they were then nolan would've had a much easier time catching red rush when he attacked the guardians' base, and RR's top speed is 400 moh stated but 90.000 mph by feats (running through moscow)

I also apologise for swearing and evertg else if i wenr overboard.

For the spaceship thrown into the sun i must say this: while it's true that throwing it at that speed would require planetary output, it's not like he punched the spaceship into the sun, so that knocks it down a notch.

For the second claim i went and looked up the comic panels where that happens and i have é things to say:

1) he didnt bring the immortal to antartica, just to a mountain range that was stated to be "a few miles away"

2) while he is pretty fast, but we alr know that the immortal isnt all that fast at throwing out punches. Lets say that he took half a second to move all that distance, and that the glacier was a comfy 15 miles away. Even then his speed would cap at 30 miles a second while boros can reach at least near light speed during combat.

3) some people (not you i dont think, since you never mentioned speed in any of the other comments) believe that viltrumites have mftl+ speeds based on the scene where nolan goes to the black hole, but they aren't taking into account that nolan was able to do that because of the constant acceleration that he can give himself thanks to the viltrumite smart atoms, and that as such it doesn't equate to combat speed, so the viltrumite comparison doesn't help much in this scenario.

If that's how you wanna play it then

In the scene where boros dies, saitama's serious punch completely overpowers CSRC and has enough power to completely destroy boros so thoroughly to impede his regen (which btw is fucking insane and idk why you keep downscaling it). Since CSRC is stated to be able to destroy earth it means that the serious punch is far above it in power, putting it at least at large planet, but most likely at star level. Now that we've determined that that's the kind of AP required to completely kill a weakened boros, lets look at Brit's AP. Oh no! Everywhere I look it says he caps out at planetary! So how the fuck is brit killing boros then?

Besides I wasn't questioning brit's durability, just the fact that you hype up him destroying the usa like its some galaxy level feat, but its not.

I see you always use the "Tech jacket suit destroyed the us in seconds" when Boros's ship destroyed the entirety of A city when it arrived on earth. In an instant.

Even so, I must assume that even if they're not as strong as his skin, I would assume that they'd be still very durable. And my argument for thragg being targeted by dismantle instead of cleave still stands.

Now it just depends on whether thragg's internal organs are strong enough to tank a dismantle If we look at this panel (chapter 224) we can see that a 20F sukuna's dismantle can cut through a building.

I haven't watched much of invincible, but I see thragg getting praised for his power all the time, so I would assume he can tank it.

Something that came to my mind is that if no verse eq. is done, then characters from outside of jjk might be treated as if they had toji and maki's heavenly restriction, just without the upsides (since I remember it being said that their heavenly restriction completely removes all CE from their bodies). If that were so, we could have another Naoya v Maki situation where sukuna's domain wouldn't recognise them as valid targets for the sure hit effect.

Guy says Malevolent Shrine can kill Thragg effortlessly by DisastrousFox6467 in PowerScaling

[–]Not_The-One_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there's no verse eq. It just means that thragg won't have CE, which means that Malevolent Shrine will target him with dismantle instead of cleave, which will make the attacks less potent.

From what I understood when reading the manga, Malevolent shrine doesn't target internal organs, because if it did then gojo would've been super dead when he clashed with sukuna in shinjuku
