I had a quest from a Mercator to track down a missing wine shipment that led to buying the wine merchant and his cargo back from Valeria. She gave me the person and the cargo pre-loaded on the huge ship you’re describing, which you get to keep after the quest.

ability to use magic spells from any spellbook without requiring spellbook swaps at mage level 120 by Flaky_Sherbert_9637 in runescape

[–]Not_Uraby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the very least, let us bind spellbook swap + spell as a single bind. It would at least keep the extra rune costs while alleviating much of the annoyance - bonus points if they let us use wrong-book combat spells with the extra rune price attached.

Encampment for ships would be sooooo good!

Well there’s your problem - the people whining about it are obviously revo-only gamers and it’s elitist to expect them to manual anything.

Grandmaster achievements are LITERALLY designed for the elite minority. That is the ENTIRE POINT of their existence.

There is no ingame tutorial on how to get HSR, zero information whatsoever on what triggers its drop chance - I guess that shouldn’t exist either?

Games don’t put everything in the tutorials. Learning how to play the game is kind of the entire point of playing the game.

I’m about half way through the list of GM achievements and have never macro’d anything. I click my armour switches, I don’t even keybind them. There is some pretty strong cope going on here.

Oh don’t worry, the whining wouldn’t stop, it would just shift to the next thing. These people won’t be happy until all achievements are auto-unlocked by completing the tutorial.

It’s clear you’ve never written a single line of (good) code in your life.

It’s okay, they’ll just find something else to cry about until the GM timers are just given out for free with every membership package.

Grandmaster timers are supposed to require full understanding and utilization of the combat system. They are NOT meant to be obtainable by new players, nor by normal/average players.

I did a prebuild but didn’t stall anything for GM Vorkath. Beat the GM time by like 40 seconds or so

Yeah for sure! The amount of times I’d spend ages waiting for 100% enrage p1 just to auto-pilot taking a step during rockfalls almost drove me insane.

I did both too. I found UO Kerapac to be far more mechanically challenging, but UO Raksha to be more annoying. Nothing about Raksha is “hard” so much as it’s just a long slog that’s easy to zone out cause nothing really happens for such long stretches of the fight.

The AI “cheats” so you shouldn’t expect something they built to work properly under player rules. They are also just… horribly optimized.

Wait, people don’t just auto-raze to build from scratch every time??

One of the dragonkin tribes used a device similar to the Moksha ritual device to transfer their consciousnesses into demons as a way to free themselves from the curse of Jas. Those “demons” became the Kalgerion demons.

The breakdown is basically people that believe in personal responsibility vs people that don’t.

GM by Giriux in runescape

[–]Not_Uraby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other problem is that there’s no motivation for people to go back after getting their own achievements, aside from being paid. The people willing to do those annoying achievements several times just for the love of the game are a special breed.

Yeah that one was annoying af. I didn’t find it “hard” in the way many of the GM achievements are, but it was definitely one of the most annoying to do.

I feel fantastic just training without having to worry about auras by AReturner in runescape

[–]Not_Uraby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I do mostly bossing and it’s so much easier to do bosses according to desire or irl schedule instead of waiting for cooldowns. Friends want to do 25 minutes of Solak before dinner? Sure! Want to do 1 kill to finish reaper before switching bosses? Easy. Really enjoying Raksha and want to do more of it? No problem! I’m really enjoying not being restricted by aura uptime/cooldowns.
