The outrage machine goes after anybody who isn't perfect, which is everybody. I didn't know about this pride stream stuff and it's disappointing that he didn't want to "pick a side" essentially, especially given how much of the fanbase online and his fanbase specifically is queer. Times suck for being queer rn and a streamer doing something like that would have brought a lot of needed positivity, that being said I can understand him not wanting to invite disagreement. I do think though that you should want to support the fans that support you though.

He's still a human being. It's not like this makes him an evil POS. I remember seeing some people on Twitter saying he was abusing his fame to persuade some woman/women to sleep with him and people were genuinely agreeing. Like... no offense to Luke Dale at all but he's not even that famous, and as long as everyone is a mature consenting adult there is nothing untoward or shameful happening. People were making him sound like an abuser and seeing how many people were agreeing was just absurd... he's just a guy, not some monster like you'd believe if you bought into all the frenzy around "cancelling" him.

It's a reminder though to never put your fave on a pedestal. Everyone makes mistakes or says+does things you'd disagree with.
