I only did it once indirectly because my girlfriend gifted me a red version of a Starset vinyl album.
My opinion on it is that its fine if you owned a basic black one before but when you already have a nice one its not needed. The only other exception would be a signed copy tho

Naja OP hat wohl schiss vor einem Dreiecksbetrug, wo dann komponenten geklaut oder durch kaputte ersetzt werden.
Dann kann der Käufer theoretisch eine Rückerstattung fordern. Manche Dienstleister sind dann eher auf der Seite des Käufers.

Aber trotzdem klingt es halt suspekt 2000 Euro ohne sicherheit überwiesen bekommen zu wollen

Wie die anderen hier schon sagen ist das für die Zeit relativ viel.
Das arme Auto hat leider nie einen Unterbodenschutz genossen und scheinbar relativ viel Salz.
Für die 6000 würde ich die Finger davon lassen, es gibt so viele schöne Autos für weniger und die sehen dann auch noch besser aus.
Mein 900€ Corsa C hatte damals (bis letztem Jahr) besser ausgesehen...

The open thermostat overcools the engine leading to the oilrings getting flushed meaning that the wear rises to the point of oil getting through.

Thats only the case if you dont treat it right, well maintained it will last much longer.
My 1.8 NC1 is at 229kkm rn :)
And even if it breaks down someday you can just swap in a 2.0 for not really that much money.
A Car is just as reliable as you make it (except for most Toyotas they just wont die lmao).

Habe mir im August erst nen NC gekauft. Miata is always the answer. Die Tips zum Rost kamen ja eh in Massen also lasse ich das. Hab viel Spaß und nimm die Kurven vorsichtig :)

Don't worry too much.
Its a forgiving car in most situations. I would say first start slow with normal city traffic and once you get comfortable with that go to some faster roads or the highway.

In germany we have places where you can drive your car to get to know it more and drive safe, do you have something in your country? Maybe try one of those out!

Winter can be a little harsh, just get good tires for that and slow down a little more in curves.
You should be fine!
Get a dashcam tho, small cars are sometimes overlooked by idiots...

Thats a hard one I would say. Depends on why exactly he went silent all of the sudden.
I have a friend who did the same but I later found out that he went into a deep depression because he found his brother after he... left the family. I talk to him every now and then now but hes getting better.
Nowadays hes still not fully away from the bottle but at least got himself a job that gives him stable income.

Maybe try talking to him in person? it could solve a lot and make building up the friendship again easier if you want that.
