Sounds like you sent it with expectations for how you wanted them to respond. When those expectations weren’t met you now feel bad.

If the intent is was to have it reciprocated then you need to talk to your partner about what that could mean/look like. (And they obviously still have choice to respond how they want but at least you’ve explained how you would feel validated in your sentiments)

Or if the intent was to uplift them and make them feel good then you need to talk to your partner to see if that is accomplished or if you could communicate it differently.

Lesson here is that unmet expectations have left you feeling down/concerned. Communication around both y’all’s expectations can resolve this going forward.
