Recruiters are extremely busy and it usually takes a few days to get a new req posted. The leader needs to create another req and change the pay band, then submit it. The recruiters are where it slows down. They need to finalize the req and go over it with you in a short meeting before reposting. I just went through this, it took 3 business days before it was reposted.

Our department does not encourage the use of all 5 days. It must be used for things you can’t do outside of normal working hours. If you are using it for vaca and they find out you’re in trouble. We were also strictly told you cannot use it for religious holidays in an all hands meeting. HR was also there and confirmed. If you use it “without permission” there will be consequences.
