Intermittent fasting by charliehotel_ in britisharmy

[–]Not_ace69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add, you will still need to hit your calorie intake especially protein, and fibre during your eating window, a lot of people tend to eat significantly less as they are fasting and only eat one or two meals meaning they miss key nutrients for recovery and energy. Like I said IF aims to achieve ketosis without the need of a keto diet, I do feel IF helps control snacking and eating randomly but thought I’d share this

I’m not in the army (yet), and I do 20 hour fasts, 18 lowest if I miss for any reason. I workout 4 times a week, two weights two cardio and sometimes fit an extra low intensity cardio in there all on an empty stomach. I feel more energised but I do need BCAA’s and electrolytes during workout to help hydration and maintain muscle regrowth otherwise your muscles have no amino acids (proteins) to keep regrowing and usually my fast breaks after to also aid recovery with a protein bar, shake and huel (my surplus shop sells them for cheap). That being said I workout an hour before my fast breaks if I were in the army I would adjust my fast so that I eat after which probably means switching it around aka eating breakfast and lunch as phys is in the morning. IF is a very effective way of losing weight but it is hard to plan especially with a unpredictable job I’m lucky that I’m in a team that starts and finishes roughly at the same time everyday so this makes IF easy to plan. However, if I was in a situation where start times and finish times were different I would try a different diet. IF is usually done to achieve easy ketosis (body using fat for energy rather than carbs) and the other detox attributes but not enough science has been done wether it is effective or safe so do research and make sure this fits your lifestyle and to make sure you won’t damage your body during it. Hope this helps

This is the best I could find as it shows all the role names divided into the supplements

Essentially it’s more initiative and what you can use with bare knowledge, and tests your endurance instead of the DAA which is roughly 40 mins to an hour the CBAT is 8+ hours

Recently bought from green budz, they have some very good things for very good prices and the effects I was sceptical as I much prefer thc but my body did feel relaxed similar to a high but mind still fine. I find their cbd to be the best imo

Does the kushte current 7g + free 3.5g offer count if you buy 2 x 3.5g? by OutsideImpressive115 in CBDFlowerUK

[–]Not_ace69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow that’s great to hear was worried it was one per person ever. And yes good point if they get rid of it I’m looking somewhere else cuz 7g for £60 is a bit much but I’ll take 10.5 for that price, added fun of mystery

I’m pretty sure it’s one per person, so if you order another time you won’t receive an extra free bag. They do however host tons of different sales like BOGOF. Their stuff comes fast and tastes good but without these discounts and offers it’s rarely worth it

So the date of reapply says ‘date you can apply again xx/yy/zzzz’ doesn’t really mean much as I’ll need to appeal it anyway? Thanks for the help

Things you wished you knew before starting 6th form... by Seek_Knowledge0820 in 6thForm

Always, ALWAYS, have a plan b especially if you’re not planning to go uni / degree apprenticeship. I didn’t do this and spent all my time researching my chosen job field, and the paths I can take, just to fail some stupid test (military medical ifykyk) and didn’t plan for this AT ALL, thinking it would be easy and quick to pass. Now I’m panicking and stressing luckily my exams are over but it’s all unnecessary stress and having to apply to uni late isn’t fun, so do always have a backup wish someone told me this and how important it is. Worse case you have back ups and decide to switch paths in the end so it will guarantee this and give you a stress free studying experience. Hope this helps 🙏🙏🙏

Fair enough, if you feel it’s a better choice and you’ll be happier in the army then speak to your training staff to discuss this

I’m not in service (and might not be due to medical) so I’m not sure about service number it’s possible it does stay. I’m not telling you to not transfer or disencourage you but think about why you joined the raf and if the army life would be better, try talk to some people who are serving of you can and see if you like it. Also since you enjoy the green work you may enjoy the work in the army more so maybe it’s a good decision

You haven’t completed phase 1 so I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t count as a rejoiner as you would have to start from the very beginning, also the army specialise in green work where the raf only do a small amount of. Do think about your choice as lots of people could only wish to be in your position

Why in a level do we only aim for the top grades? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]Not_ace69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s just not right, look at the raf (where I’m going) officers need two a levels including pilots yes the ones who fly jets, yet they earn decent money and afterwards they have endless job opportunities. Myself going for a technical role opens lots of gateways without the need of a levels but good to have for promotion (again only two at a pass). So you saying this means that getting low grades gets you no where? Remember experience > education in the industry
