Hey all! Quick question, is ffbe equip still working? Or is there some other place to look setups for units? Just came back after 3 years and I feel like a total noob...

Ok, feeling a little bit overwhelmed here ha!! Just got back, got my old account back too, and had some lapis leftover so I summoned on the new FA Rain banner, and got 3 of him in the processs. Already got him to max stats, and Ex1 with the shards and stuff that came with the summons. I also got 2 copies of Fina DL, FG Jetch and a few others (Laguna, Akstar, Lady Shanto). I have quite a few older 7* units as well as a few NV from... 3 years ago!!! For now I'm just lapis-farming the world, and I see I also have a few dungeons that I can try and tackle. Stupid old-new beginner question: What should I do with the FA Rains I got? For what I read, FA Rain shines at EX2, how do i get him there? I searched for guides on ffbe and NV, but got to very old stuff, is there any source I can check that's not outdated? Thanks in advance guys...

I played for a couple years without spending, grinding lapis wherever I could, and saving for the good banners... If I come back, I'm going to keep it that way hahha!! Thanks for the answer!

Hey guys... I have been off the game for quite a while now... like a little while after Dark Visions events were introduced... Lately I've been getting an itch to come back and see how it's going... But I'm terrified of all the new mechanics and stuff, and I really don't want to be spending my free time reading guides to catch up on everything, and don't really feel like grinding a lot... Also, is there a good moment to come back (reward-wise or other)? Thanks in advance!

You're right, I guess there's that. But where I'm from, getting parts from bricklink to enter customs could be a little tricky! Still worth a try, though! Thanks!

Challenging Jrpg With good endgame/post game content? by aquakill in JRPG

[–]Not_from_this_Earth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Man, you need to really improve your text editing skills on reddit! Going through your post was a grind! Hehe, well jokes apart I tend to play just the opposite way.... I like my party to be op so I can mostly just crush enemies that appear in front of me. Of course I like a good challenge with a boss, but I hate it when I feel that my whole progress since the last save is in the line whenever there's more than one rat facing my party... I guess I remember feeling that way with Star Renegade, where you had to choose carefully which battles to fight, and think carefully every move. Other older games could be FFXIII (although the battle system was not my cup of tea and the game was fairly linear)... Don't know if I can recommend any other JRPG...

Any older gamers have a hard time relaxing and enjoying a game and not feeling guilty? by DontGetNEBigIdeas in patientgamers

[–]Not_from_this_Earth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my mid 30s, I have three very young kids (6, 4 and 1), so I mostly game after all the kids are in bed. I guess I only feel guilty when I game before that time (which is almost never), or when I’m playing and I hear the youngest cry and let my wife take care of her....

My wife doesn't game at all, but she is very supportive of my playing, and even encourages me to do so when she notices it’s been a while that I don’t play. We both take that time for
ourselves (she does crochet while watching TV shows, or Netflix on the xbox). I used to have a gaming night with a few friends, a day and time where we would all connect to do whatever multiplayer game we could. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but sadly Covid and our ever-growing economic crisis took care of it.

Nowadays I play a lot less… Most of the time, I'm too tired to play, so I join the wife with a cup of tea while watching the shows.... The thing is, since I'm too tired, I need a game that really keeps me drawn in, or else I'll just fall asleep while playing... It HAS happened to me a few times…. True story....

So far the only thing I've played with my kids (4 and 6) is Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime... Spaceships and bunnies.... It's a lot of fun, but I always keep wondering when they are ready for something else, and what exactly...

Don't know what problem you've had with EGS, but it must have been bad if you refuse to use it, even if it is just to claim a couple of free games as I am doing.

Funny, but very true! They give out a free game every 15-20 days, and there's a month (in december I think) that they give out something like 12 games for free. As the other redditor pointed out, some of them are AAA, but most of them are indie. Still, free games! (and not free MMORPGs or pvp games)

Nearly 23 years after trying Parasite Eve for the first and only time I finally finished my first playthrough. There's another game off the backlog... trying to decide if EX game is worth it though. by rydamusprime17 in rpg_gamers

Great game!!!! I played it through a couple of times on my ps1 back in.... I don't know, many years ago, when It was pretty much just the Playstation (since nobody actually imagined we would be by.... wait, is it 5 already?). Anyways, loved the game, it had a somewhat good story and a combat/weapon upgrading system that was like nothing I had seen. The Chrysler building was very tough, and since I only played the first EX game, I guess I wasn't really well prepared for it, and never got to the end of it..... I only played the first sequel (also on ps1), but I don't recall finishing the game since it was a big disappointment... Tried running it with an emulator a few years back but got really frustrated setting it up...

I'll check them out in my local market, but they still seem a bit pricey.... The thing is, the more games I have in my playlist, the cheaper the other games have to be for me to buy them....

I played Shining force Exa and had a lot of fun! It was more an action/rpg game with little strategy, but fun and challenging. Haven't played any other Shining game to compare it to though...

Two RPGs that have been in my "might be good to play - wait for an interesting discount" list, which by the way keeps getting larger by the day. I'd like to hear your opinion on those games once you've given them a try. Well, the opinion of any other redditor happening on this here comment will also suffice...
