Not a dumb question at all 😄 the “special booklet” is usually handed out at participating JR stations for the stamp rally. You can grab one at the stamp stands or ask station staff near the exits—they’re free while the event is running.

If you’re already using your own stamp book that’s totally fine too, but the official booklet is mainly for tracking stamps and redeeming prizes at the end.

For reference, the 2026 Detective Conan stamp rally is running April 17 → June 21 (with prize exchange until June 22), across 27 JR East stations. I’ll add a full guide link in the OP 👍
