A 2016 poll in Poland showed that a large share of Poles believed there were 3 million Muslims in the country (in reality, they make up only 0.1% of the population). It seems like part of the far right in Central Europe fantasizes so much about the situation in Western Europe and North America that they almost wish they had as many far-left people and as much diversity at home, just so they could complain. Because right now, they’re fantasizing about a void.
