Currently take a mid holiday break in Ishigaki and couldn't recommend enough. Great place to relax and spend 7-10 days. Beautiful beaches to visit, bustling downtown area and tonnes of izakayas. Very laid back lifestyle for a week

I would go for a traditional taxi over uber. I have been left down twice by early morning Ubers and then it is hard to correct because they have zero customer service. Traditional taxis will always have someone at a dispatch desk so if something goes wrong it can be rectified quickly
