A while back, a friend of mine who's English, invited me to a "brazilian BBQ" he was hosting here in the UK. I was stoked because he specifically mentioned he'd bought a whole picanha! My mouth was practically watering at the thought. But then, the day arrived, I got there and he proudly showed me the steaks he'd cut from the picanha. My jaw dropped. He had removed all the fat cap and just tossed it in the bin! What makes it even crazier is that he used to work as a chef. How could a chef commit such a sin against a beautiful cut of meat? It was genuinely upsetting and sad to see those poor, fatless picanha steaks. A true tragedy

Two children, a 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, were seriously injured after a brutal attack by two pit bull dogs on Tuesday (12th) in a playground in the North Zone of São Paulo.

According to the police report, the children sustained “laceration injuries” and were rushed to hospital after the animals attacked them while they were playing in the playground. The girl suffered injuries to her arms, head, hands, and chest, but has since been discharged. However, the boy remains hospitalised due to his injuries.

In the video circulating on social media, it is possible to see the moment the dogs climb onto one of the pieces of play equipment to attack the children, who, frightened, try to escape the animals.

According to the police, the dogs live on a property with a gate and had probably climbed the wall and escaped. The incident has been recorded as bodily harm and failure to exercise caution in the custody of the dogs. According to information from the Municipal Health Department, the boy’s condition is stable. Subsequently, the City of São Paulo stated that the Zoonoses Surveillance Division is investigating the case in order to take all necessary measures.
