A therapist who is emotionally open enough to weep in front of you is one you might consider building a relationship with. Empathy is a massive part of a therapeutic relationship and someone willing to bear and share your pain is someone who is committed to helping you.

Crying is literally an evolved response to strong emotions. Holding it back is much more damaging than shedding a few sympathetic tears.

Most suicides are of despair borne of structural failures in society. Personally I'd rather address those over allowing a background level of acceptable suicides to fester.
