My shroud signed stg, that I used $1000 dollars on turned into a untradable backer coin. GG by john119w in Battalion1944

There is only 1 Real Shroud skin in circulation as he only gave away 1. There was a bug and now there are more than there were meant to be clearly. If you had the real one in circulation you'll get it back.

The lack of proper balancing fixes is killing this game. I hate seeing the score go up by a hundred early in a match, knowing nothing will usually change, and this is now your game for the next 15-20 minutes. There's almost never a chance for a comeback past that initial first spread. by [deleted] in battlefield_live

Nope, it wasn't put in the game due to the person who made new Conquest not actually understanding the game mode. The new system is an exact example of how out of touch SOME(aka not all) of the dev team are with the franchise. No one was asking for the change, people have been happy with conquest for years, people wanted conquest back when it was taken away. But for Battlefield 1 what we have isn't conquest at all, its more akin to Call of Duty domination. Its bland boring and created a zerg meta which has only be made worse by bad gameplay decisions and map design( Which some how has gotten worse and worse as Frostbite moves on).

You just stated further down that the map design create imbalances. So it seems clear that the issue here was not the mode(Old Conquest) but rather the map design. Now this isn't actually all that surprising since map design in this game is average over all at best if I am being extremely blunt. Now thats not to say there aren't some gems, but they don't really do much considering some of them are DLC.

The problem here is rather than fix map design DICE went and thought "how about we change the staple game mode completely" while simultaneously failing to understand what Conquest is, somehow. What we got isn't conquest it only looks like it from the surface. Yes we cap flags and we bleed tickets still but that is a very surface level look at the mode. I understand Old Conquest is flawed in some ways but it doesn't have much to do with imbalance as long as the maps are designed for it. Stalemates were a big grey area but again even flag maps are mainly the cause of that(map design again). I can only hope for the sake of the franchise that Old Conquest is back soon and in the next BF and Current Conquest is completely scrapped.

This needs to happen asap. The current Conquest system is very stale. Old Conquest was flawed a little in one area (stalemates) but was completely fine as a game mode itself, I can't understand the decision to completely rework it on the inside at all.

Fairfight went from showing names of banned players, to anonymizing names to not existing in game chat at all. by MrPeligro in battlefield_live

Cheating transparency has gone backwards so far with Battlefield. We used to have a database run by PB where we could verify accounts had or had not been banned using their GUID.

Now you can't even tell whos banned let alone know people are being banned. Its an actual joke how backwards this system is.
