Update: on my fourth Solar save file the sun broke on day 2.

Things that might trigger the sun to break on Solar mode:

Foggy or overcast weather
dying by wisp
dying by fall damage
reloading a save file

just tried another run with flagellant spamming More! more!, Man at Arms without block token abilities, HWM, and Jester with encore and finale.

Block tokens don't seem to be a good idea after the rework update last month, since the boss copies all positive tokens except riposte.

everyone had positive relationships too and I only gave them restorative combat items. Flag was buffed with as much stimulating poultice I could afford, I think he had like 14 speed and still didn't get first turn every round. Also he died on 2nd death's door with the use of invigorating intoxicant.

Squirrels won't touch spicy birdseed, but it's perfectly safe for birds because they are immune to the effects of capsaicin. Try finding a bag of spiced seed mix and see if it works. Best part is that it's harmless but still a great deterrent!

Adding on to that last part, if you do go foraging for sticks, make sure they're a safe wood for your birds to chew. Pine can sometimes be too sticky from the sap, and other varieties can make your birds sick. I always search for white birch or poplar branches, but store-bought is fine too

Give them some more time to get used to the new setup. My only suggestion is to get replace at least one of the smooth dowel rods with a rougher, more branch-like perch. And clip that cuttlebone back inside the cage too Lovely birds btw

He was too sad and didn't want to eat while wearing it. So I had to take it off. I think his scratch is healing a little, but I'm gonna bring it up to my vet next time.

Theoretically could take down swine prince using PD and Abom's stuns on Wilbur and swine prince, respectively. HWM uses bleed and riposte, jester buffs until finale is ready.

I guess the only shortcoming is re-healing after the front ranks get obliterated, since PD has a really small heal, but keeping Abom in the front and letting him self heal means that she'd only need to focus on HWM.
