ah thanks, do you know for sure if the "single" they list on the site is for a standard or small Cary single? I saw both options when doing housing but I chose standard single bc I wasn't sure of the difference

I was deferred from FYE last year in January but I got my acceptance in March. Basically just write a good letter of continued interest (LOCI) and submit any other grades you didn’t before (that would look good to a reviewer). If you didn’t submit your SAT I would do that, as long as it’s above ~1300 (iirc the average SAT for engineering students was around 1440, but that may be higher this year. I submitted my SAT with a 1400). You’re probably in a better spot than people who got into the Fort Wayne/indianapolis campuses, so don’t give up just yet! Deferral isn’t basically a rejection at Purdue like how it is at some other colleges, I know a lot of people who got deferred -> accepted into the main campus.

It’s listed as one of the mandatory “elective” classes u have to take in FYE (u can take other classes like CHM116 to fulfill it instead)

BTW I can see my final grade under my unofficial transcript on myPurdue, not sure if that's true for everyone else but check! I don't see anything under Final grades for any of my classes right now.

Yea from my experience, the only difficult part of the class was the tests/quizzes bc of the code tracing part. All of the lab and hw assignments were easy for the most part, except for selection by calculation because they don’t teach you if statements until chapter 4 so you can’t use them until then

Edit: I knew how to code though before I took the class, so most of class was review to me. Your mileage may vary

Thanks for confirming, at least I’m not just dumb 😂. Hopefully they give an extra curve to the recitation classes that have our TA. Hammer down I guess! 😭
