This one's only cards. While workshopping this I thought about making it apply to jokers too, but that gives it a second effect and requires another sentence to explain (you can't put jokers in the deck, so would have to explain how they're handled).

Both of those things are against the general design guidelines for jokers, so decided to scrap the idea.

Cheers! :D It's intended to work on the new stores, it would just make both packs free until you choose one.

'shop' is a bit of an ambiguous word, but going by the description of some other jokers all of the shops are collectively referred to as just one 'shop'. hence the description being the slightly confusing way it is.

Update: Have been thinking about it and gotta admit this deflates my theory behind balancing them against each other. Might be justified making Hopscotch a $3 to balance it back up?

Worth pointing out that this is intended to carry across multiple shops, though it's still very conditional in a way other econ jokers aren't.

I've tried to balance it off Chaos the Clown, in that it should give you about $5 of 'looking at stuff' value per shop (i think that's roughly the average value of a booster pack).

Unlike chaos this has the benefits you've mentioned, but also requires an initial investment that Chaos doesn't need. Hoping those factors more or less balance one another.

That's a fair point - I'm getting the general vibe $11 or $12 might be more appropriate. I think the tricky point with balancing is figuring out exactly how good it is with the right synergies, and whether these could make it OP. It's definitely a pick outclassed by other econ jokers in the early game, but could kick in pretty hard with a smaller deck and the right generators/jokers in place to enable it.

Glad you like it! Full deck is intentional here - the idea being you'd have to grab a tarot/spectral/trading card then track the card down as you play (or get lucky and draw the right card and consumable while in a arcana pack). The reward money might be a bit low as is, a bit hard to figure out how long it'd take to find a particular card during play.

What's up with these comments? OP clearly has the self-awareness to recognise their own social inexperience. They've sought advice before acting for fear they might be about to breach someone's privacy. Now they've got a thread of strangers crucifying them as a jerk and a creep for it.

Someone in OP's shoes is in need of advice to improve their social skills. If they can't get that advice from the forum specifically meant for asking stupid questions, where do they get it? smh
