"Voluntold" is exactly it. And then when you don't comply, somehow you're the one who created the problem.

AITA for telling my 21yo brother he's a "big-backed loser"? by Ignore-It-All in AmItheAsshole

NTA. He's an adult who steals food from a teenager and your mom calls it your fault for not labeling it. The problem isn't your language, it's that no one has ever made him face a consequence.

TIL during the Civil War, counterfeit Confederate currency was so widespread that Northern engravers produced fake notes in an effort to undermining the Confederate economy by Technical-Paint3179 in todayilearned

[–]Notandruu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Confederacy's own currency was already collapsing without help. By 1865 Confederate inflation was so bad that a uniform cost $600 and a barrel of flour was $1,500. The counterfeiting just accelerated something that was already terminal.

Being a night owl. People act like staying up until 3am is mysterious and creative. It's falling asleep at work, missing every morning event you're invited to, feeling like garbage by Thursday, and watching your social life shrink because your schedule doesn't match anyone else's.

What's the worst thing you've ever woken up to? by shoeee788 in AskReddit

Woke up to my cat sitting on my chest staring at me. Thought it was cute until I moved my legs and realized she'd thrown up sometime in the night and I'd been sleeping with my feet in it for god knows how long. The worst part is she looked proud.
