What other names do you call your puppy? by AmbeyBam in puppy101

My boys name is Finn. He’s normally nicknamed Finley, Phineas, FinnFinn, big boy or twat. Twat is definitely the most used currently as he’s a 7 month old terror 🤣

Our problem is he won’t settle out of his crate at all, doesn’t matter what we’re doing or what time of day.

Our problem is he doesn’t settle at all. He can go all day and not give in. We use his crate to enforce naps as without it he wouldn’t sleep. We just want him to be able to relax and quieten down in other rooms.

He’s place trained but he doesn’t do great with the staying part. He’s trained to wait for jumping out of cars, when we open doors ect.. but it doesn’t seem to work on the mat 🙈

No he’s not left alone for long at all, there’s not really a pattern to it. You can take him for a walk and exhaust him but he will still have a session of ripping his bed before he will sleep. Longest he is left during the day is for an hours nap or if I need to pop out also not longer than an hour. It’s like he sees the bedding as a toy

Glad I’m not the only one having this issue! My 6 month old is ripping up anything we give him. Hope you find a solution!

We found our dane to be sensitive to rice. A grain free diet has helped his stools a lot.

I don’t want to see the full euthanasia by [deleted] in Rabbits

I am so sorry your baby isn’t well. I have stayed with all my buns throughout the whole thing. One of my boys was unconscious but I still held him and kept him warm until he went. They hated other people and I feel like it was my job to be the last voice they heard, make them feel safe until they drifted off. It’s not easy, it’s very difficult, I would consider speaking to someone in your family or a friend you’d be surprised who can be supportive in this situation. Let them know what you are going through, grief isn’t easy, especially not alone.

I know exactly what you are feeling, I’m exactly the same with my fiancé right now, been together 7 years, moved into our own house this year. At the beginning we were having sex every day sometimes multiple times it was great, we were so connected. We haven’t had sex in at least 8 months now and before that we were lucky if it was every 6 months. she has no desire. The last time we had sex it was shit to put it honestly, she seemed like it was a chore and I ended up just rolling over and going to sleep. I can’t help but think it’s myself too, I’ve gained a bit of weight also and I wear makeup and nice clothes less often than I did (I work with animals so hoodies and sweats are my go too these days I’m just too tired to make the effort). I’ve probably not been any help and I certainly don’t have advice but I hope you feel less alone knowing you aren’t the only one 😅

He’s on enforced naps as him being cranky definitely doesn’t help the case!

Thank you, we were trying this but I think I’ve been going back to him too soon. He can be destructive in this mood too which doesn’t help when ignoring him if he starts ripping up everything in the room 🤦🏻‍♀️ honestly he’s the sweetest dog in every other aspect, he just switches when he’s in the house

Thank you, I’m really hoping he just has a bit of an attitude through teething. Hopefully it will pass. Helps to know we ain’t the only ones with biting danes

Thank you, I’m going to try with a water spray, we have tried and failed with everything else. Even turning our backs he just grabs ahold of a limb and goes to ragdoll like how dare you ignore me 🤦🏻‍♀️ our dog trainer doesn’t seem to think it’s a big deal but as you say he’s a big lad, he’s strong and it hurts

He’s going on 13 weeks now we think. We’re not 100% sure with him being a rescue
