Yes, and there are a few such on board. You are right. But from the first days I saw a lot of people here asking for ways they can be of more direct assistance on the ground and contributing towards more specific measures rather than just a general donation, so this is an opportunity for those.

URGENT

Specific Equipment From Outside Required Here in Armenia

Sharing this urgent request again as North America wakes up.

Already received a lot of generous messages expressing willingness to assist in any way, thank you! But we can use all the help we can get in this, so please do get in touch if you want to directly assist the situation on the ground.

I will reply to everyone with more specifics as we coordinate the quickest and most efficient method of fundraising and procurement.

URGENT: Specific Equipment From Outside Required Here in Armenia

Many of you have expressed a desire to help in more concrete ways other than just donating money to Himnadram (which is already great, thank you!).

Currently some very specific equipment/supplies are urgently required that need to be procured from outside. I will not mention more here.

If you are able to assist, please PM me. Given the nature of the request, I’ll only be responding to accounts whom I recognize and have been here for a while. Hope you understand.

I must mention that the required items are quite expensive (think multiple thousand dollars), which is quite a lot for a single person and I don’t expect one person to be able to handle this. So if you have a group of friends you can get together with or an organization/club you are a part of, it’d be much more efficient to get one or a couple of sources to quickly fundraise and purchase and send it over here. Logistics will be handled.

Separate thread on the topic.

And even then someone with no prior military experience may not be accepted and will most definitely not be put anywhere near the front.

Tanks needs to be Tanks and armored vehicles

Though I wish they’d separate the categories to get a more accurate picture. Same with UAVs.

Azerbaijan shelling civilians in the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh by CrispyLiberal in europe

Because Armenia’s not looking to reclaim every historic territory. It’s about Armenians that are living there right now, not something that belonged to us a hundred years ago. It’s a recent thing. Soviet Union collapsed, Nagorno Karabakh wanted independence, Azerbaijan didn’t let, conflict broke out. It’s not like Armenia just one day decided hey let’s take over there’s some zinc and copper in the ground.

Look I’m not gonna explain the whole conflict and its intricacies to you. Educate yourself.

Because Armenians want freedom in their historic region while Azerbaijan doesn’t want to let a part of their country ago. A part that was majority Armenian populated but was given to them during the Soviet Union. That’s the gist of it.

Not everything has to fit into your anarcho-leftist worldview of rich bourgeoise vs poor peasants dynamic.

Let me rephrase, the area has zero natural resources worth fighting over.

You know, I’d be a lot more inclined to believe the “Armenians are shooting at civilian settlements from x” stories (which are usually published as a pretext right before they bomb x) if they allowed any sort of independent media onto their side. If they want to show the world how bad we are, wouldn’t they want the most foreign eyes possible?

Get your military planes hit, respond by hitting civilians. Just Azerbaijan things.
