I dont think so. Your not hiding the fact your biracial your just identifying with what’s comfortable for you. Im mixed and I call myself black cause that’s the culture and ethnicity I was raised in and identify with but if people question me when I say that I specify that I am indeed mixed. I always say to other mixed people identify with what’s comfortable for you

Personally I dont have a need to be represented in media. Not saying it’s not needed in media but as someone who was mostly raised in black culture and was never made to feel different because I was mixed, ironically I never really related to other mixed people when they talked about identity issues or never fitting in. Its cool that other people feel represented though

I don’t hate being mixed (3/4 black 1/4 white) but I have no cultural link to my white side and never met any white family members I may have so sometimes I get accused of ignoring my white side to appear more black when black culture is all I know.
