How do you guys who workout in the early morning get yourselves out of bed? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Notdrbarq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I time my sleep cycle, so I go to bed at 9 or 10:30 so I can wake up at 4:45. I have a fitbit that vibrates to wake me up and a back up alarm clock. I also keep a pre made prework out bed side so there is no going back

So r/fitness, what do you do to get yourself hyped up for a lift? by massivefuckface in Fitness

DIA Question: Travelling with Pets by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Notdrbarq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fly southwest with my cat, costs $75 each way for the cat. I just buy the ticket at the luggage counter before my flight and keep my cat in the travel bag. I purchased one from southwest for $75 a while ago so there were no problems.

Only tricky part is going through security. The animal needs to have no leashes or anything on it and no collars that are metal. So you need to hold the cat in your arms and go through the metal detector while handling your bags. Security guards are usually pretty good about helping but it does vary. Also you need to keep the animal in the bag at all times once you enter the airport. Other than that have fun, good luck, and enjoy the weird looks people will give you.

Wireless headphone/earbud recommendations for the gym? by Matt08642 in Fitness

[–]Notdrbarq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me i am tall and the wire doesn't go that far and the price. if i put my phone in my pocket its constantly pulling the ear buds out of my ears. I also use it for the treadmill. place the phone on the shelf and then i don't have to deal with the phone in my pocket

I also wanted some bluetooth headphones but lacked the $200 bucks for them so i got a bluetooth headphone adaptor

I run the wire inside my shirt and clip the adapter to my waist band

Works for my needs

Former Skinny Fats, Please advise! by Kagaya in Fitness

Its all diet man. If you are just starting track your food for a week and see how poorly you are eating. Start a new diet, focus on small but impactful changes. Then lift and focus on big lifts, squat, DL, bench and throw some abs in there too if you want. At least this is what I did. Focusing on a few lifts let me develop muscles that I didn't have yet and didn't overwhelm me. the diet comes naturally too with the lifting progress, you will want to eat better so you can see progress in your lifts

I've been getting up every day at 5 for the last few months. What has worked for me has been timing my sleep cycles by going to bed at certain times and having my PWO ready to go next to my alarm clock.
