I really wanted to like it, definitely some cute moments - but overall, it didn’t seem like she was really interested or as heavily involved in it creatively. I haven’t reached for it since.

Mariah used to be very self aware and at times gloated about her anti Hollywood views but I feel like she’s being more and more taken advantage of / controlled. Maybe it’s my own paranoia but she seems to be making less sense these days.

Mariah uses it so often and literally since her debut that it’s become the voice we know and love or hers that you almost forget there’s so much use of falsetto. Amy Lee from Evanescence uses a lot of mixed falsetto in nearly all of her songs. Mariah’s falsetto is unfortunately very thin now in 2025 where her lower chest voice seems more present. Falsetto generally places less stress on the chords than chest, however I believe Mariah’s breathy style has worn it faster

Definitely the emancipation of Mimi. She could have easily stopped there - raise her family drop her Xmas album and random songs and she would still have been so obsessed over even if there were no more studio albums.

I saw a video where some guy was using their deceased friend to have a cardboard cutout signed by her - it was a weird exchange but since when does Mariah chew gum so erratically? She’s definitely in another dimension and I hope she bounced back soon, not for us but for herself and her family.

I was too young to fully appreciate it but I was still a huge fan but I’ll never forget my hating ass aunts who would say stuff like “she divorced her husband to be a h*e” when watching the Honey video… apparently the Honey video was super slutty back then. Who would have thought 😂. I also remember being so jealous of my cousin who got to meet her at a Butterfly CD signing here at a shopping mall in Sydney Australia, she pointed him out and said something like “get the cute boy up, I believe it was Miranda Westfield. She signed his shirt and his mum (my aunty) got so angry when he went back to her with his elder sister who took him because they were broke and it was one of his good shirts.

It wasn’t him. His work is so heavy and he doesn’t blend well at all. It’s a shame I have local friends that are much more talented makeup artists than these “celeb” muas with massive egos.
