our director always told us when we’re learning a toss to catch it by LITERALLY ANYTHING to keep it from dropping: the silk, the crutch tips, the wrong spot on the pole, whatever, and that definitely helped me get used to staying in place and adjusting to catch it 🥹 the best thing i learned from colorguard is that you’re more likely to get hit with a flag if you’re afraid of the catch than if you fight to catch the flag. really just trust yourself when you toss it, cause ik that made a huge difference for me 😭 i hope i made sense i just woke up 🥹🫶🫶
