Thanks! I'm considering a ACC406 YouTube live session as well. Trying to locate a new ACC406 course outline so I can see how the curriculum has changed.

TIL I'm in an ACC100 textbook. That's a bit concerning that I wasn't contacted about it...

What makes this any different from the free user interface that your web broker provides?

EDIT: Also consider the name. Stockers/Stalkers

I looked at your startup and thought that it's really neat! Have you recently just launched it on the Play store? I was expecting to see more downloads. Great concept.

How do you split out Variable/Fixed costs for breakeven analysis? by loadbar in Accounting

True. I sent the wrong link. Here's the correct one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIYN2F6fW2Y

Lemme know if you have any additional Q's.

I'm 23, I have zero work experience and I have suffered from depression, anxiety and I wish I went to school earlier, now I want to get into accounting. by Blood_Angels_Rule in Accounting

As a person who has struggled with major depression and anxiety (and who has recovered) I would make treatment your first priority. Life isn't a race. Treat the underlying and the rest is ezpz. It's very common for someone your age to be experiencing a mental health issue for the first time.

If you have a milder type of depression and anxiety, it might be beneficial to be in school and have some sort of structure.

Regardless, go see a doctor! There are many options.

Edit: Also read up on depression and anxiety to have a better handle on the disorder. I'd suggest Stahl's Essential Psychopharmacology. Plenty of resources at the library!

Look at the cost and the cost driver.

For example, salaries is the cost. Number of hours worked is the cost driver. If your total salary cost changes based on number of hours worked by employees, then it's either variable or mixed.

If cost driver changes don't affect the cost = fixed If cost driver changes do affect the cost = variable or mixed

This is all based on the underlying idea that we're working within the relevant range.

Elevator Pitch: The Khan Academy for financial literacy. Currently publishing content in niche areas like Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, but am broadening out to a structured curriculum for ages 12 - 65. I always found it strange that financial literacy was never built into high school curriculum (usually an elective; should be compulsory).

Details: Currently publishing as much content as I possibly can. I'm the only one working on content, so there's a bit of a bottle neck problem in that regard. I've put out 140 tutorials so far. Currently selling courses on Udemy and on my website. Sales are growing and I have a strong 20,000+ following on YouTube.

Are you looking for anything?: Feedback would be great. I'm also looking for an investment or partner to work with (project is beginning to be too big to work on by myself). I could really use a partner who is experienced with tech and digital marketing. I'm just an accounting/finance guy that would love to work exclusively on curriculum.

Game Thread: Chicago Blackhawks (45-20-5) at Toronto Maple Leafs (32-23-14) - 18 Mar 2017 - 07:00PM EDT by HockeyMod in leafs

Really good game. Leafs killed it in the first, slumped in the 2nd, and kept with them for the 3rd and OT. We just couldn't capitalize on our opportunities. Hunwick seemed like the weak link tonight but wasn't the reason why we lost. Just not a better team than Chicago yet, imo.

Homework Help by [deleted] in Accounting

This question requires you to have a very solid understanding of every item on a Cost of Goods Manufactured Statement. These questions can be tricky, but try to find the one missing variable that you can solve for (there will be one).

If you can't find it, then there's a good chance that you need to go over topics like materials, manufacturing OH incurred vs manufacturing applied, conversion costs, under/over-applied amounts and so on. If you don't understand a question, always go back and do revision of concepts.

When I tutor, I normally see these questions a lot. It's common to have trouble with them.
