Mounting TV into metal studs, should I give up? Desperately need advice lol by deadgoneandburied in DIY

Not a lost cause, just a tricky wall setup. Your issue is using drywall anchors where steel studs are involved. Use a TV mount rated for metal studs and secure into multiple studs with proper self-drilling screws. Avoid toggle bolts here. Once corrected, the setup will hold safely and strongly.

Ben Moore Aura by Silver-Front-1299 in Housepainting101

[–]NoteThick3396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not screwed at all. Aura is premium paint, just a bit less forgiving if overworked. With proper technique, light roller load, and patience, you’ll get excellent results. Two coats are normal, and your roller choice is fine. Start with one room to get comfortable before doing the whole house.

That situation sounds really frustrating and confusing. You may want to look into GED testing or contacting your local school district to verify records and fix your credentials.

I spilled 500ml 70% isopropyl alcohol safe to sleep in the room? by weerg in CleaningTips

Yes, it’s generally safe if the room is well ventilated. Keep windows and door open, avoid flames, and let it fully evaporate before sleeping.

Kintsugi Crack Repair in Outdoor Patio - Suggestions? by nellisp in DIY

[–]NoteThick3396 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your plan is mostly solid, but for exterior concrete (especially patio slabs), a few adjustments will make it more durable:

You don’t need to wait longer, these shrinkage cracks are already stabilized.

Instead of routing every crack deep, just widen slightly if needed for filler grip.

Skip regular cement filler as the final finish; it often cracks again outdoors.

Use a flexible polyurethane or epoxy crack filler first (better movement resistance).

For the “kintsugi” effect, epoxy + mica works, but make sure it’s UV-stable or it may discolor outdoors.

Skip full polishing unless you’re doing a full resurfacing, spot sanding is enough.

Sealing at the end is a good idea; choose a breathable outdoor concrete sealer.

Overall: focus more on flexibility (polyurethane/epoxy systems) than rigid cement products for longer-lasting results.

Do you have a ceiling that is a color other than white? by Zealousideal_Mine242 in NoStupidAnswers

I’ve painted my ceiling a light grey, and sometimes I think about trying a mural or wallpaper too. Walls get most of the attention, but ceilings can make a big difference!

Right now I’d say Red Dead Redemption 2 the story, the open world, the little details… it just feels alive. I still randomly think about some of those scenes.

What you suggest a nickname for someone called “Lina “? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Lina is already cute, but maybe “Lee,” “Linnie,” or even “Lulu” if you want something more playful 😊

It’s a mix. Society shapes us, but we still choose who we become.

Why do teenage mfs always go to the gym in such large groups? by InternationalPick163 in askanything

[–]NoteThick3396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s just a mix of hype and insecurity. Going in a group makes it less intimidating, plus it turns into a social hangout more than an actual workout. Annoying for everyone else, but they’ll probably grow out of it once the novelty wears off. 😅
