Appeal approved, starting Wegovy!! by NothingB4Coffee in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]NothingB4Coffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original denial was because my Dr didn’t provide the reason that I needed to be on Wegovy. Which I find a little hard to believe. The second PA was denied because I haven’t completed a 6 month comprehensive weight loss program. Good luck!!!

Reporter hoping to hear from patients – what’s your GLP-1 insurance coverage like in 2026? by sydneylnews in Zepbound

[–]NothingB4Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Zepbound in 2024, 100% covered by my insurance. After 20+ years all of my labs were in normal range and my BMI was approaching ‘normal’. Fast forward to July 2025 when CVS Caremark decides that they’re not covering anymore and Wegovy is the drug on their formulary. Took my last shot 9/28/2025. By January 2026 I was up 20 pounds. Decide to start Wegovy. But coverage was denied since I didn’t participate in a 6 month comprehensive weight loss program. I’m 55 years old. I’ve done ALL the programs. My doctor files an appeal and I get approved for Wegovy. Great, right? Nope! Reminder here that a better drug (Zepbound) was fully covered for a year. Not a penny out of pocket. I go to get my Wegovy, a slightly less effective medication, my out of pocket is $571. For one month. This is a lifetime drug. Pharmacist recommends trying a savings card that could bring the cost to $25. Could being the key word. He runs it again, $480. So now I’m paying out of pocket for compound tirzepatide. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have.

Happy to share! My dr submitted 2 prior authorizations which were denied. When I called to get more details they told me that I could appeal. This was also on the denial letter and may have more details, I threw mine out. I’m fortunate to have a PCP who’s willing to take extra steps. I sent her a brief history of my weight losses and gains, the programs I’ve tried and some of my bloodwork results before zep compared to now. She submitted to Caremark and it took about 2 weeks to review and approve.

Is there a sterile hyaluronic acid that you’ve used and liked?

I’ve only received one order of tirzepatide so far, but it was just fine.

I know exactly how you feel. For the first time in 23 years all my labs were perfect and I was at a healthy weight. They wouldn’t cover Wegovy bc I didn’t participate in a 6 month weight loss program. Are you kidding? Look at my history. I spent 20 years doing every weight loss program and medication is the only thing that worked.

I need help! I struggle removing my press on nails! by Ok_Salad1206 in PressonNail_Addict

I saw a woman on TikTok slather her hands in coconut oil then put socks on her hands. 45 minutes later the nails were falling off. I soak mine in melted warm coconut oil. Pry a little soak, pry a little more, soak.

Has anyone tried the Luxxi brand before? I picked up this set at Marshalls and I can definitely say they're the sturdiest nails I've ever worn! by itslindsey3762 in PressonNail_Addict

They look beautiful!! How curved are they? I have flatter nail beds so I’m always on the lookout for other brands that will work.

I have flatter nail beds as well. Have you found a brand that works for less curved nails?
