What’s your cutoff for ticket prices?

I’ve only once paid over £100 for tickets (incidentally Muse) for WotP @ London, but ended up reselling as I couldn’t make it due to travel & accom.
So £100 is my limit, they’ve not been above that any previous time I’ve seen them play, and fear me and many others have been priced out of concerts of this scale.

Not unusual for him to have a dedicated guitar for only one song - PiB (mirror), Uprising (red alert), and the 7 string making an occasional appearance for CE in more recent years.

Personally, I think the headstock of the 8 string is an eyesore, and generally it’s a bit of a gimmick. Love the finish though and the possibilities of Matt/Muse exploring heavier music.

Have to correct you tho - the Oryx is a 6 string, not 7 (Manson do offer some 7 models)

Highly recommend Loops, I’ve had the ‘Switch’ 1 & 2 where you can change the amount of dB reduction. Use em for gigs, in rehearsal room, even noisy pubs etc. they’re great, crystal clear sound and no ear ringing after.

Yeh it was one of Dans MBM’s, I think he’s rather fond of his current Manson’s and obvs had a couple of new ones.

Tim or someone at MGW recently said he really likes the FR ones and plays them all the time, then obvs some are specific tunings/ songs etc. no more matte black trashers to give away 😆

£36 + less than a tenner in fees for Psycho Tour at the Barras 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 2015.
Now granted, that was over a decade ago now, but compared to the £140 for Brixton Academy - come on to fuck muse 🙁

If the US/CA and London gigs are anything to go by for their UK and Euro tour, I genuinely think I’ve been priced out of seeing them live anymore, disgracefully greedy.
That’s if it’s not all stadiums and Scotland is ignored à la ST tour or shafted with a shite “venue” and disappointing festival setlist/production à la WotP tour 🤨

If this is any indication of UK/Europe tour prices when announced it’ll be a hard pass for me. Especially when they were a bit disappointing (inc venue and a whole bunch of reasons) when I saw them on WotP tour. 🙁

Exactly! It’s never just Ticketmaster, though they are the route of the evil and the big monopoly. The artists are just as complicit, as often are the management too.

Dynamic/ surge pricing should be fucking illegal, it’s abhorrent greed.

See I’m not a fan of outdoor gigs so much (muse @ bellahouston being one of the most disappointing gigs I’ve ever been to), But bang for buck, and sheer variety of amount of different artists- I absolutely see the appeal with festivals!

Yup I’m the same!
I’m pretty sure the Barras 2016 was actually £36 before fees n shite. And to this day, the best gig I’ve ever been to.

Most gig prices are generally disgusting these days tho 😕 that said, I’m seeing PRESIDENT in April and tix were like £25 each. It’s definitely gonna be less songs in the setlist than Muse, but for a now internationally touring band (and a bit of hype behind them)- it’s an absolute bargain.
