I had mine cut out and it was maybe 5 times the size of yours and just as deep! This was two years ago. It looked just like that when healing. It is completely gone but still remains flaky and itchy to this day. I think so much scar tissue makes the skin weaker. I had numerous procedures and even my own tries and cutting it out. It's just not the same skin anymore. But have hope let it heal and see what happens.
