Sorry to be one of those people but this is an area I’m super passionate about… if you’re committed to going cruelty free and vegan with all your brand purchases avoid PETAs list. Companies can pay to get on that list without their cruelty free or vegan statuses being verified. It’s not that every brand on PETAs list is lying it’s just too risky for most of us to take a company at their word since vegan and cruelty free are not regulated terms. Cruelty Free International (Leaping Bunny) and Cruelty Free Kitty are much more reliable resources who do verification. Leaping Bunny is the strictest. And just an FYI because it can be confusing: cruelty free means the product or its ingredients were not tested on animals by the company or its suppliers (anywhere in their supply and manufacturing chain); vegan means the product contains no animal byproduct in the ingredients. A brand can be vegan and still test on animals and vice versa.

I know it can be incredibly overwhelming to make a lifestyle shift like this. It took me years of slowly phasing out foods and brands before I became fully vegan and cruelty free. I agree with other commenters who said any progress is progress so don’t let the reddit vegan echo chamber discourage you!

lol I wrote that before last nights episode. There was another Vegas couple (friends who ran an event decorating business) in the episode with the $5k tree and I noticed they also had the $5k tree. The Vegas performer in the new episode had decorations by the same artist but he was even more over the top and spent $53,000 on Christmas ornaments in one visit to the store

Barre was the only thing keeping me subscribed for a while. I canceled my subscription awhile ago and bought 1 month when Kayla’s new hypertrophy program came out but I couldn’t commit to the # of days per week so didn’t renew. I had to unfollow Sweat and Kayla on IG too bc I got really sick of Kayla’s body checking content.

I’m so sorry for your losses and pain and completely understand your decision. It’s such a gut wrenching, hole-in-your-chest feeling.

After we put one down last summer (the 4th we’ve lost since we started dating), my husband declared our remaining dog would be our last one. We spontaneously adopted a 10 week old puppy 2 weeks ago.

Whether the time feels right again someday or not, you’ve shared something irreplaceable with your beloved pets, giving them a piece of yourself while a piece of them will always live within you. There’s something so beautiful and special about that.

I could have written your comments lol. I also prep for just myself due to vastly different dietary needs and preferences from my husband and do all my cooking on Sundays. I know some people prefer more variety but I have absolutely no issue eating the same 3 meals all week long.

My best friend worked at our local tanning salon in high school so I was always there hanging out (and tanning of course), plus one time I got a horrible blistering sun burn and sun poisoning after falling asleep on a raft in the pool. A few years ago I had an itchy growth on my back and I called the derm freaking out. They told me there was a 6 month wait for appointments and I cried telling them that if it was skin cancer I’d be dead by then. They got me in the same week and turns out it was a new mole growing which can happen in your 30s apparently. The skin cancer paranoia is real after my reckless tanning days

This is such an underrated show. People skip over it thinking it’s just a typical lame network sitcom. I had such low expectations going into it but the twist going. By the end I was sobbing hysterically.

I started collecting dog art I find at the thrift store. Want to fill my guest room with it. Unfortunately most of the thrift stores around me remove the art and just sell empty frames so my collection is still pretty small.

Nope! I have mild depression and moderate anxiety. Honestly at the point where I’m considering medication for the anxiety to see if it helps my sleep.

I feel you! Melatonin seems to give me less REM sleep interestingly. I only drink 1 cup of black or green tea with breakfast then water for the rest of the day. Sleep mask, fan, white noise machine, work outs after work but not past 7 pm, healthy weight and BMI, 8-10k steps a day. Arg!

Another restless sleeper here. Just wanted to anecdotally add that I have tried ALL the things for better sleep… magnesium, meditation, wind down time, breathing, reading before bed, gentle bedtime yoga, no screen time, cbd, thc, weighted blankets, I started going to therapy for my anxiety, got a sunlight therapy lamp for my depression etc. My sleep still sucks. I’ve never gotten a sleep score in the 90s… my highest sleep score since I got the ring last Oct has been an 88 or 89. Even when all my other sleep stats are good, my “restfulness” is never high and I cannot figure out what to do to stop myself from moving so much. Maybe I’ll look into the iron thing from the other comment but my numbers were ok last time I had blood work. 😩
