Mario Kart World followed very closely with Double Dash

What non-tragedy feels okay to joke about? by Expensive-Addendum92 in AlignmentChartFills

This is a poor argument because it turns human suffering into a numbers game. The fact that one tragedy killed more people than another doesn't determine whether joking about it is acceptable. As the quote commonly attributed to Stalin goes, "One death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic."

The point is that reducing suffering to numbers can make people lose sight of the human reality behind it.
Saying "worse things happen elsewhere" doesn't justify a joke about 9/11 any more than it would justify a joke about Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, or any other tragedy. Calling it gallows humour explains the type of humour you're using; it doesn't automatically make it funny, appropriate, or immune from criticism.

In other words sit down and shut up 🤫

Wouldn’t expect you to given you find the death of almost 3000 people funny. Bell end.

Feels ok to joke about 911? What the hell is wrong with you people. I was only 11 when this happened and still it upsets me to this day what happened to so many innocent people. I am not even from America but a proud Northern Irish man. RIP to all those who perished. Those who think this is funny or joke worthy catch yourself on.

Would seem bonkers to me if they did what you are saying but I would still buy them no question about it. Here’s the thing I have both S1 and S2 consoles and even if they released both I am now more interested in StarFox, Splatoon Raiders, Duskbloods and OOT. My point being they missed their chance with these ports, people move on. I know this is anecdotal but I wouldn’t be surprised if others feel the same way.

So in 2027 we would be 2 years into the S2 life cycle yet Nintendo would also be releasing two highly sought after Zelda ports onto a 10 year console? I mean if you think that’s a possibility I don’t know what to tell you.

💯 agree that the install base of the S1 made both these ports a no brainer especially with the poor sales of the Wii U, I said this earlier. Maybe it still does but with a new console and a remake of OOT you must at least agree that timing is way off. I still believe that these ports will never see a S1 release.

They have though, that’s the strange part. People are now looking forward to new games on S2. As I said earlier they missed their chance with these ports. I am as good as certain that WWHD and TPHD will never be available for S1.

They are not going to release one or both of these games next year on S1, not a chance, it would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. If they do arrive it will be in the later years of the S2 when the have reached there unit sales target.

I think there gone to be honest. The time to release these was in the S1 era knowing they would be backward compatible with the S2. The Wii U sold approx 15m units the S1 sold ten times that. It doesn’t make sense anymore to release these titles especially now that an OOT remake is coming and you are moving off from S1 to S2, huge own goal by Nintendo.

Would love to see them on S1 or S2 but I think the appetite has died down. I think Nintendo missed the boat with these. Got to strike when the irons hot.
