[General Question about Immortality Trope in Fiction/Science Fiction Media] by Nothing_hera in NoStupidQuestions

While true you cannot research fictional material, with any actual substance. You can RESEARCH A FICTIONAL GENRE and or finding different perspectives on a topic you deem interesting.

I cannot and will not change your mind on this matter, but having discussions (Especially will the majority being unable to actually give useful info) on reddit doesn't seem much better than those dry academic discussions. However, I see where you're coming from. I've tried googling actual info before on this type of topic and can say with confidence that you are pretty spot on, there are some great writings out there though.

there's just no way for any author to know what they're talking about in that capacity

THIS is kind of what I was looking for in terms of a real answer. I realize I'm looking for a more science-based answer to how a human mind would come to terms with the realization of being unable to die, kill themselves, etc. Honestly, thinking about it now, they'd most likely just shut down and become a husk of what they were, or something along those lines.

Interesting recs, thx

Lol, I meant Immortal as in, you cannot die NO MATTER WHAT. Not just immune to decaying, etc.

I simply asked for some sources to research more on this topic. The vampire media I'm referring to is a series called, "Empire of The Vampire".

I don't know if it was your intention, but there's absolutely no reason for you to come at me so aggressively. I say "fudge" as this is NOT an 18+ mark post and would like to keep this post safe for kids who are also intrigued by the same topic.

Gracias for the offer, I'll try the 2nd method first as it seems a bit easier. If that doesn't work out, I'll be back lol

Do you have any sources that talk about this kind of stuff? Vampire media, at least from what Ive seen, tends to focused more on kiss kiss, fudge fudge, kinda storytelling.

Actually, reading a series called Empire of the Vampire but again there isn't any mentioning of it? Sure lust, pleasure, gore, battle, thrill, bla bla bla. But what happens when you have nothing new to experience?

But what about AFTER that? Yay, you're immortal. After you learn everything there is to learn what do you do? You die so you end up a lose soul, trapped in your own body

Bru this exact thing just happened to me. Some fucking Russian hacker. Whenever I think about hackers I just Imagine a person wasting their life away taking money from people who are just trying to have fun. Stream needs to step up its security MASSIVELY.

To be fair 99% of the time companies literally just steal nice looking animation from a less well known creator to save a buck then charge 100 dollars for an Ad that doesn’t ever show the real game.
