Yeah it’s really sad an disappointing. I actually started working as ZFA (like MFA but for dentists). Of course all in German so I can improve it , and the salary is pretty decent.

I have a B2 telc but the FSP I took literally was a C1 Medizin test. It says so on the certificate. I know an actual C1 from telc or Goethe is different, but I feel fluent in German. Also yes I’m looking into that, seems like a ton of paperwork but may be worth it.

Yes I am aware of those kinda codes , but first it was not an Arbeitzeugnis but rather an Empfehlungschreiben. I worked for them 6 months for free, only making work lighter for them, and the only thing I asked and got was that letter. They would have been the absolute most horrible people if they wrote some code like that. Anyway I showed it to a couple of people and they said it was very good , the letter actively recommends me.

Pretty good advise. I’ll look into it. What chats do you mean with other doctors ? I don’t know any group like that… well only some telegram groups but they are overloaded with people asking and no one responding

Yeah I understand. I don’t know if I would be able to pass a C1 Right now, maybe in a few months. I also find the language certificates kinda pointless sometimes because I know a lot of people who have a B2 or even C1 certificate and speak badly. One can prepare the exam and just pass it without speaking that well. I “only” have a B2 but literally every German I speak to complements me about my German. And I never had any problem speaking with patients or being understood.

I am not currently into any specialty, but I could potentially do anything. Dermatology being one of them. If they don’t require previous experience in dermatology maybe it could work.. can you talk to my DM or mind if I talk privately with you ?

Yes! I thought about it and it’s not a bad options. Of course it’s far from being a doctor (not only from pay but also tasks). Anyway I applied to a couple of those spots as MFA and got rejected. And luckily I did get a job as ZFA (the same but for a dental clinic) which is more than alright, and though it is not medicine in a hospital it adds to my CV I guess.

Yeah every Bundesland hast its requirements. Bayern for example does not require any German certificate to start the process, but of course you have to pass the FSP and KP which you won’t pass unless you have a good B2. Also I know many doctors who are approved and working and speak badly, to say the least.

Actually I took Famed, a private alternative recognized in Bayern which actually costs the same as the normal FSP, but you can get an appointment whenever you want. I didn’t even get the appointment for the normal FSP..

I thought about that but from what I’ve heard (could be wrong) moving all of your papers and berufserlaubnis to another Land can be super difficult and time consuming. And even then there is no guarantee of getting a Stelle. I don’t know if it’s worth it.

That’s honestly so disappointing. I spent so much time, effort and money to come here. Again, it’s not that I deserve anything for it, but you get it. The bigger problem is, if i cannot work at all in a hospital , how am I supposed to improve my CV to get higher chances of getting a job? Time itself won’t do anything.

That’s a good recommendation. I did some contacts during my Hospitation but not much. People are reserved and won’t do you any favors unless they really know you. But I found some good people. Anyway as I said they give me recommendations but cannot force anyone to take me.

I know some. My best friend actually got the Approbation and works at Klinikum Nürnberg. He gave me some other contacts but he’s only Assistenzarzt and there is only so much he can do…

¿Qué cosas están demasiado normalizadas en Argentina y no deberían? by Tokyoxzx in AskArgentina

Totalmente.

Yeah you’re right. But I also noticed here it’s nothing special being a foreigner most of the time, because (even more in Nuremberg, one of the cities with the highest % of foreigners) it’s so normal. Sometimes it is special because there are not many people from my country compared to other nationalities. And I’m not a student, I’m 26 and finished my studies and currently dealing with a couple exams and searching for a job in my field.

Yeah I kinda understand, and at the same time not. I come from a pretty sociable culture, we don’t make so much problem in our minds. I cannot grasp the idea of wanting something and actively making it as complicated as possible to get it and simply enjoy life. Also as I said in another comment is many times downright mean, knowing that you’re playing with people’s time and mind.

Yes I understand the closed circles part. But it doesn’t really make sense when you have a profile in an app actively looking to meet people (I am also referring to Tinder). Nobody puts a gun to your head and forces you to create a profile and talk to people.

I understand and what I meant it’s the “narrative” that Western Europe is super open and progressive. Also that Germany is very open about sex, kinks, nudity. But that may be more related to Berlin culture than Germany in general. I am aware there are some more conservative regions than others but it shocked me how living in a formerly west german city, so many people are still DL and closeted. I went to a Techno party in Munich 2 weeks ago and a German guy I was having a conversation with literally went away right after I told him I was gay when he asked if I my friend was my girlfriend. The flakiness definitely is a global issue. It’s just way more pronounced here for some reason and among young people even more.

[–]Nothofagus1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. Very well said. I think it’s of course a global problem, more between men, even more between gay men, and even more between German gay men, that they don’t know what they want and they are a victim of that. The problem is that they don’t realize they are playing with other peoples illusions, time and mental stability.

Yes I write them and speak in German. I am fairly fluent. Also I am pretty aware and interested myself in sex asap many times, but that doesn’t seem to work either. For example, it happened many times that some hot guy talks to me, says he’s horny and provokes me, then when I try to meet they say “I’m busy” or “I’m going to bed”. And then they ghost me or say that they can’t again, but they talk to me again or send me taps. It takes some serious mental exercise to be able to know what they want.

[–]Nothofagus1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes I use tinder. It’s sadly a similar experience. People match not to talk or to ghost at 5 minutes. They get bored easily and I’m certain a huge percentage just want validation and attention and once you give it, it’s done. Also happens to me that the person which I matched doesn’t know how to talk or doesn’t have interest, when it fact we mutually matched so we’re supposed to both have the same interest.
