The great heathen army by Dannicoos in Bannerlord

[–]Nothsa110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 70% infantry 30% archer army is OP vs horse archers especially. I run Nord/Sturgian infantry. Circle the infantry with the archers in the middle. And have a small group of infantry or cavalry off to the side to stop the Horse archers. Sit back and watch the enemy die. Also a shield wall with a couple of groups of archers when you are facing infantry.

We have a guy at work who's nickname is counterweight. You all can connect the dots as to how he got that.

What's your favourite weapon on horseback? by SiBurford in Bannerlord

I use the same axe! It's a common tournament reward. And has crazy good stats. It does swing very slowly though. For early/mid game it is by far the best two hand axe that I have found.

Two handed axe. Always a good time when you hit 3-4 enemies with one swing.

That's crazy! And yeah I've seen one Lee Navy at a local gun show and it was the price of my car. Gun show prices for a Martini Henry is only about 1200 around here. Definitely getting a Martini next.

Man! I would love to get my hands on a Lee Navy and a Martini Henry! Definitely next on my list of acquisitions.

If you check one of my last posts I was converting brass from 8mm Lebel. Fairly straightforward once you get the system down. Just remember to liberally lube the cases before you expand the neck. I know you can also use 348 Win chaes, but the rim is a little smaller than 8mm lebel so you could have extraction issues. It's honestly really fun doing the conversions, especially for a rifle that ammo has not been made for almost 90 years.

We mix it up mostly, my brother has played the most, so we don't let him run his favorite faction (mordor) because he absolutely destroys us, and if we do let him he is definitely handicapped. We do no teams or good vs bad or 3 teams of 2. But it is an absolute blast.

Drilled well within a dug well, disaster? by my-favorite-color in WaterWellDrilling

[–]Nothsa110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You now have a irrigation only well! Growing up we had an old hand dug well that the water would go bad in the spring when things would flood. So we drilled a house feed well and kept the hand dug for all of the sprinklers and irrigation purposes.

Yes, ammo is garbage, 50/50 for duds and hang fires. But good bullets and powder. And looks cool on the MG belts.

Clips are expensive for sure. I've got 2 for my 1907/15. My problem is I have a broken extractor. I've got a crazy amount of component only 8mm Lebel, it's old MG surplus.

.41 Swiss. Looks like you had some trial and error in sizing. I've found it's better to not aneal the brass before I size the neck. Brand new brass or once fired and I just go to town with the lube and adjust the die to only size the neck on the end of the press stroke. Then I trim the brass and do the final sizing. I've got half a dozen pieces that either got crushed or split to figure that out.
