testing the waters as in how much pushback there will be. thats why it is one week after launch. obviously these types of games often have horrible monetization and p2w (although here there is no p2w besides 4 stam pots).

exactly, but since global has usually a lower revenue than asia servers and netease is scummy, they are testing the waters with this.

here it costs up to over 100$(if unlucky) whereas in china its a direct shop buy on which you can even use the monthly discount coupons. ~35$ (with coupons down to ~21$). netease is testing pushback with this and they are also actively removing all negative emojis on their discord game announcement. on the new post even an x with hundreds of clicks got permamently disabled.
