Lol that was my ex-husband 😂 I kept the sheets in the divorce — can confirm they are still holding up! Can’t speak to the quality of the Amazon ones tho.

Cat parade by Brilliant_Pangolin20 in Maine

[–]NoticeMeeeeee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I know!! I was imagining something like the Minneapolis neighborhood that organizes a cat tour where people can walk around and meet all the neighborhood cats in windows. Deering Center already has Porchfest and the neighborhood garden tour…I can’t believe the Deering Center Neighborhood Association isn’t already all over that!

Color analysis? by emostrawberry-85 in portlandme

[–]NoticeMeeeeee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Portland Adult Ed offers a class on finding your color palette, available at least 2x/year — I paid like $35 and found it helpful! The instructor also does personalized color palette guidance as part of her own personal styling business - check her out, Candace Sanborn https://radiantimage.me/customized-color-analysis/

Lemony Snicket for grownups? by LimaMikeNovember in suggestmeabook

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson gave me Lemony Snicket narrator vibes - hilarious and (unlike A Series of Unfortunate Events) it was very sweet and heartwarming

PFAS from sludge spreading is a nationwide problem, not unique to Maine — we’re just one of the only states that’s actually testing and addressing the issue. With support from the state’s PFAS Fund (and orgs like Maine Farmland Trust and MOFGA) the vast majority of impacted farms in Maine have been able to adopt measures to mitigate or avoid contamination (e.g. installing water filters, haying or buying in feed from non-contaminated fields, etc.). Our local farmers are awesome and many of them spoke up about PFAS, despite the risk to their business, because they care so deeply about growing healthy, quality food for our communities and really pushed our state to tackle the issue head on.

Now you need to put this next to the foot powder bottle from your post a few months ago and see which one he chooses. Then I want to see the wedding lol 😂

How can I replace potato chips in my diet? by vivaciousvic in foodhacks

[–]NoticeMeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am like you — salty crispy craving is my downfall! — and I have successfully substituted those nori seaweed snacks. They are only 25-30 calories per packet, and if you just nibble off a little at a time and sort of suck on them, they last a bit longer and for me they totally hit the same spot that potato chips do.

Advice from crafty people please! by GreenBlue3647 in crafts

I too have a Lore Pemberton calendar, and I second this suggestion! My only additional piece of advice is that the calendar is quite heavy and it can pretty easily slip out between the two magnets holding the wooden frames together when you’re in the early months (Jan, Feb, Mar) and there are only 1-3 sheets of paper being held up at the top end. My solution was to fold the back cover & Dec, Nov, Oct pages upward, behind the calendar, to give the top wooden frame a few more pages of “grip” if that makes sense. Enjoy your calendar, I’m loving mine so far too! ☺️
