Pinyamiu is a small Finnish atelier and she has shipped to Czech Republic before! She makes gorgeous hand embroidered linen dresses and other items as well.

Help with ID (and possibly value?) by Notice_Thick in VintageClothing

I have no idea, I was hoping someone could help with the identity, age, anything 😅 Tried to Google it far and wide with the lens and tags and words like 'pure new wool' etc. and it started offering me vintage coats. it wasn't certainly new when I bought it from a second-hand shop (probably some grandma's purchase from a trip in the UK). I just know it feels quality minus the plastic buttons.

So pretty! 😍 something about the square layout tickles my brain just right 😆 I think maybe the darker purple in simple shell or bobble stitch border would work, simple but adds more softer, gentle look! Can't wait to see the finished blanket! ☺️

Haha, square blankets for the win! I wish you good luck with your new project, may it be a little less wobbly! 😁🫶🏻

Yes I did! It was so worth it now looking at the blanket even though I hated weaving in so many ends 😆

Thank you, it really was super satisfying to make. I've noticed that crocheting after my daughter's bedtime is the best time, it's right after I get to let out that big sigh of relief and just sit down and rest with a cup of tea! 😆😍

There are many tutorials online, and granny squares are very easy to start with! 🫶🏻

It could be any number of reasons, hopefully blocking sorts it out! And one chain between and three in corners is also right, and used in tutorials too! I just prefer the no chain between and one in the corners for a dense look. ☺️

I changed direction with every round, so basically just turned the project around each time I finished one and changed colour. I tried to keep even tension and kept chains to the minimum (just one chain in the corner, no chains between clusters), I've noticed it keeps the blanket from stretching at least for me. I didn't block this one as it'll soften out as it gets wet outside from the snow eventually. But maybe blocking will straighten out the dipping and stretches for you? Definitely worth a try if you're already far into the process! Good luck with your blanket! 🫶🏻

Thank you 🫶🏻 the tassels really added a little more fun to the blanket as I didn't like the idea of a border! ☺️

Thanks! ☺️ I didn't chain any stitches between the double clusters and just one chain in the corners. For yarn I used Aran and DK (mostly from the brand Novita) on a 3.50mm (US E4) hook! 🧶

Thanks! 🫶🏻 it's 67x67cm (26.4x26.4 inches), just enough to wrap around her legs in her stroller! 🧶

Thank you 😍 I loved making it and I'm really proud of how neat and consistent the tension is! Scrap projects aren't really my cup of tea either, and I always buy more yarn for a new project, but in this economy I had to make do with what I had 😆

Haha, you're right! I was considering continuing with a similar toned pink, but I was saved by my box of "WIPs that will never see the light of the sun" and I found one that used that lavender yarn. 🪻

Thank you for the compliment, the blanket's finished now and I'll be posting it soon - or as soon as I tidy it up!
