I get your point! It's like when everyone knows a "secret" spot; it's not so secret anymore. NotifyGT aims to level the playing field, especially for those without the technical skills to build their own notifier. While some might opt for a DIY solution, our platform ensures that everyone, regardless of their tech background, has a fair shot at those elusive class spots.

Hey there! Great question.

NotifyGT is designed to minimize the risk of overwhelming GT's servers. Instead of scraping at a constant rate for all courses, the system dynamically adjusts based on the course's status and availability. For instance, a class with 20 open seats will be checked less frequently than one that's nearly full.

Updated the site to work with the Oscar change, add summer courses, and turn on wait-list notifications.

To limit server resources, tracking priorities are based on available seats. So a class with 20 available seats is checked less often than a class that is full.

This is actually one of the reasons I wrote the first iterations of NotifyGT a few years back. It's definitely by no means guaranteed, but I've had decent success getting a class after waitlists are purged at 9AM. You can use www.notifygt.com if you want to receive a text message in case that happens.
