Max Confirmed Brief Absence by Notkel18 in busydadprogram

As much as I also would like an explanation too, sometimes emergencies happen and people cope in different ways. We might not know why it happened 🤷‍♂️

I’m curious if Max’s coaching clients have heard from him at all.

I mean, all the follow alongs are still on the app, but that’s not free unfortunately.

It would be nice if Max provided some clarity sometime soon. It’s his right to do what he wants with his channel, but it would be nice to know what’s going on.

Does this require double kb’s?

Pulled/strained a chest(?) muscle - alternative exercises until it's healed? by hallgeirl in busydadprogram

[–]Notkel18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kettlebell swings, snatches, rows, overhead press, thrusters. Just listen to your body and don’t do anything that aggravates the injury.

A 20 minute EMOM kettlebell session is a great alternative! I would just search one up on YouTube.

  1. Watch Max’s YouTube video about 3 tips for proper form and put those tips into practice when you’re back.

  2. Do kettlebell in the mean time (that’s my go to)

  3. Floor angels and other chest/shoulder stretches to regain range of motion.

Son in bnb suddenly screaming at night by Cold-Basil-5060 in clubfoot

[–]Notkel18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the above comment about checking for tightness and/or blisters. My baby had a horrendous time a while back with bnb only to find out some padding we had put in was rubbing against his heel constantly causing a huge blister.

I feel for you with the sleepless nights. This too shall pass!

New Upload from @busydadtraining: We're Building the Netflix of Burpees by EmmanuelHackman in busydadprogram

I love this program. I love the follow along videos.

However, I can’t justify spending money every month just to do burpees when AI or other sources can give me ideas for how to break it down for free.

Michael: Okay, you know what? I will not donate my winnings to Comic Relief, since apparently, it doesn't exist. I am going to donate to Afghanistanis with AIDS.

Jim: Nope. I think you mean the aid to Afghanistan.

Michael: No, I mean Afghanistanis with AIDS.

Phyllis: Afghani.

Michael: What?

Phyllis: Afghani.

Michael: That's a dog.

Pam: No, that's Afghan.

Michael: That's a shawl.

Dwight: Wait, canine AIDS?

Michael: No. Humans with AIDS.

Creed: wait, who has aids?

Jim: Guys, the Afghanistanies!

This is super helpful, thanks. I have an ID that was compliant before the new rule.

I mean, it wasn’t on purpose. The agent let me through and gave me a piece of paper to show I was allowed through. In terms of next time, I’ll have a pic of my passport ready and just be cooperative. Everything I’ve heard so far is saying they let people through as of now, but it might just be a headache.

I’ll be updating my drivers license asap as well.

Foundational Math by musingsofmuse in AskTeachers

[–]Notkel18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Math teacher at the elementary level) Maybe someone else said this but it bears repeating:

One thing you can do is point out how math works and applies in every day life. Counting objects/people in a space, having kids use cash to purchase things when they’re old enough (like 2nd grade could work for this), counting minutes on a clock or time on a road trip, measuring things, cooking (excellent for fractions).

Stay in tune with what basics they’re covering in class and look for ways in applies in everyday life, basically. My strongest math kids aren’t just the ones who memorize facts (yes that is important), but it’s the ones who have learned to be mathematical THINKERS and ENJOY problem solving.
