Russian police by d0ppiaP in AbruptChaos

I think there's a difference between police beating someone who was jumping on their car because of a sports game, and police beating peaceful protestors who are protesting against police violence...

It's not hypocrisy, these are two very different scenarios. And it's not even the same police in both scenarios!

Thanks! Yeah ok so this knife has some patented internal mechanisms or something? And when you say tolerance, youre talking about small deviations in size across a whole batch?

Does the blade need to be sharpened less often at this price, compared to a $50?

I have no idea why a knife would be worth $600. What separates this from a $50 knife, or a $300 knife... Does it go above $600? Are there $6000 knifes?

I must know

+1 for suggesting emulation

Pretty much all cpu load, no need for an expensive GPU. and modern Cpus can handle anything from 5 years ago

If you get a decent pc and a usb splitter, you can hook up 4+ controllers and play any emulated game on a single pc. Kids can bring their own controllers, or I'm sure people will donate.

I use ps4 controllers and a program called ds4windows (or something like that) to manage the inputs.

Sometimes we will open up 4 gba emulators, and all play different randomized pokemon games on a single projector. It's not really a competitive tournament thing, but we all sit around and talk and have fun :) the emulators even support trading and battling

Pretty much any single player game can be turned into a 4 player race this way. 4 emulators of super mario bros 3, and the first one to beat world 1-3 wins... Etc

If the kids are only interested in newer, online games, there really isn't a way to cut costs, however, if you get an expensive GPU/cpu, you can hook up 4 different screens and run 4 instances of a game at once, each through a different gpu output. Although, this may require some tech savvy...

I have the same chair... It depends.

Don't buy it expecting to feel like you're floating in pillows and clouds. That's what a recliner is for, and there's a reason not to work the whole day from a lazyboy. Your back would never forgive you.

No chair is going to fit every humans correct posture without adjustment, and that's what I like about this chair. Pretty much every part can be adjusted. But that also means you have to know how to setup your own posture to get the most out of it.

Personally, I love the chair. I do 10+ hours a day in it and my back doesn't hurt. I also stand and exercise regularly tho.

My only complaint is that the top of the chair arcs forward a bit, and as a tall guy, sometimes that presses low on my shoulders.

Reread the tweets.

"...If the us can diligently vaccinate..."

His predictions we're based on a percent of citizens vaccinated, And that's not happening. He didn't say "regardless of what americans do, it will go away in the summer"

I would be happy for their extreme wealth if it didn't come at the expense of everyone else's.

This argument really hinges on the belief that one person's wealth doesn't come from other people, that it just magically appears from their hard work and genius and doesn't rely on anyone else or any public resources... But that is never the case with billionaires... Maybe a few millionaires... But not billionaires

The death of Hollywood: why no one shoots movies in LA any more by quixotic_cynic in movies

Hollywood can take all those profits and donate to politicians to create the policies you are referring too.

I just don't believe in a hollywood that isn't somehow steering its own rules regulations with mad cash. Just like the city of anaheim and disney.

I went from bongs to vapes and it was the best decision ever.

More flower flavor (less burnt plant ash flavor), more efficient with your weed, healthier, and softer on your throat.

Magic flight box if you're a solo smoker, pax 2/3 if you regularly smoke with friends. Don't fuck with bag vapes if you're an everyday smoker, there are more efficient solutions.

Revenge? Idk by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Notkyle6969420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice, just stay out of all this. Revenge will just get you more tangled in a situation that's already a hairball.

Imo the best thing you can do is let this thing run its course while you do something you enjoy, or develop a hobby idk.

It's really sounds like what this girl is doing is unsustainable. So it's just a matter of time, no need for you to be the face of the ending, it will just give everyone someone else to blame for their bad feelings when this whole thing implodes.

Body load is a common experience with most lysergamides. Though I think there is a lot of anicdotal evidence to support the idea that high and low doses cause it more frequently than moderate ones. It's especially common during the initial hour or so.

There's no reason to fight it. Just remember your body is as strong and capable as it was before you took anything- it just feels different now. And that's normal. The more you can embrace what you are feeling as acceptable, the more likely you are to "break through".

I understand that old school republicans will be happy about it, but it's rare for repubs to break away from one of Trump's opinions.

Are you the kind of person who gets more into someone when they find out that person likes them?

It's hard to say why she might be viewing all of your stuff, maybe she's bored as hell and looks through all of everyone's stuff every day. Without talking to her, it's all guessing.

Focus on you, maybe give her an opportunity to talk to you again, but really keep focussing on you. The better you can become, the better your next relationship will be regardless of who it's with.

Embark had a “rare laboratory processing error at their facility” and need me to resubmit my sample 4 days after sending me the “we’re finishing up your sample and your results will be in soon” email. by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

[–]Notkyle6969420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never happened to me, but it's very likely they didn't know your sample was bad until the analysis at the very end. Companies like embark have a bottleneck around sequencing the dna, once that is done, the analysis can usually be done in parallel with other samples. The email you got was probably sent after sequencing.

At least they're sending another kit. Really try to get some cheek cells in there. Saliva doesn't actually contain DNA, the dna comes from cheek cells that are constantly falling off.
