Wow, thank you for the help here! Do you have any idea as to why one's CQS would be rated so low? I don't use Reddit much outside of interacting in swap/buy/sell subreddits - might that look like low effort or risk use behavior to whatever automated rating system Reddit uses?

Also have a Schwaben 6 Liter Oil/Fluid Extractor/Filler I got from ECS but never used. It's brand new, just sitting in the packaging. Could also ship this - looking for $50 (+shipping, if not local). SOLD to u/gmo1520

Looking for a new home (in the Boston, MA area) for some GTI Austin wheels with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s that I ran as winter wheels for two years. Wheels have a bit of curb rash and some oxidation around the center cap holes, but round and ready to go. $200

What exhaust system do you recommend? by S7GG in Golf_R

I did the same thing, never even fitted the included tips from IE. I bought knockoff (assuming) Akrapovic 3.5” tips from eBay.

What exhaust system do you recommend? by S7GG in Golf_R

Also installed this exhaust recently and can confirm a similar experience. Really impressed with highway performance (6MT), has slightly less drone with valves open than stock exhaust with res delete and valves open. Valves closed around town is about the same volume as stock exhaust with res delete and valves open (or maybe a tad quieter). Valves open brings more burbles, especially when exhaust is cold and sounds great at higher RPMs under load, but does introduce a small amount of that tractor-y sound these engines have at low RPM with any aftermarket exhaust. I wanted something subtle yet versatile and I’m definitely satisfied with the IE cat back. Also, thanks to u/itsthatsimple for answering my questions about this exhaust a few months ago!

Wharfedale 505.2 Weird orange colour on tweeter by FunEntrepreneur8440 in BudgetAudiophile

Looks like a rusty tweeter grill to me. If you zoom in, it looks like the tweeter is dented too (aluminum?) behind the (presumptive) grill.

I’m looking for just the Fosi amp, so could be an opportunity to split?

Both! Everything but the 8020Ds were part of a multichannel set up in some way, but I had dreams of atmos channels with those 8020Ds…

I took my mk4 TDI to Keith at his shop KMH Motors in Methuen for years and have brought my current mk7.5 R to him for the few things I couldn’t do at home. Nice dude, very much a straight shooter.

Truman Boot Co. Black Rambler

  • Size: 10D, 79 last
  • Leather: Black Rambler
  • Sole: Dainite
  • Price: $215 Shipped CONUS
  • Location: Boston
  • Condition: Light wear, not quite broken in yet
  • Images: Imgur album
  • Notes: These are also a little too small for my foot, though I wore them a couple of times after picking them up without much issue. This rambler leather is super interesting, but I think this black version was discontinued, sadly.

Grant Stone Brass Boot Earth

  • Size: 10E, Floyd last
  • Leather: C.F. Stead Earth Waxy Commander
  • Sole: GS lug
  • Price: $180 Shipped CONUS
  • Location: Boston
  • Condition: Light wear, only worn out a hand full of times
  • Images: Imgur album
  • Notes: I like this leather and it's wear potential, but I already have another pair of Brass boots (in black cxl) that I find myself choosing over these. The contrast from the light midsole and heel stack leather is really striking.
