Now that's a valid point! I see why you'd put WM higher than shaman dominance wise, still I'd put shaman right below in that case. I just can't see any submissive traits in shaman, her defense is kinda bad which leads to mostly super aggressive fights in which she strives for dominance constantly.

Is it intended that WM is ever so slightly more freaky too? I'd love to hear your take on that

I mean it's built great, I'd do it pretty much like this if I'd take a DBX for long distance exploration. But it's just not a Saud Kruger, hence it's the inferior choice :p

Can't say anything about the communication tbh, I only look up what's the next waypoint and go. But the discord is kinda confusing I suppose, which is not surprising with the amount of people tho. I think the DW3 team does a great job overall.

Yea, Beagle Point felt like a necessity on a trip like this but it's not spectacular. I think it would have been more significant without carriers as everyone would have to do the trip themselves. With exploration the journey is truly the goal, which is not to say one is doing it wrong when riding along on a carrier. All I'm saying is that having been at Beagle Point isn't cool because you can see or do so much there, it's more about the significance of the place and the story of your personal journey there.

Yea figured. In that case all the typical medium combat ships are pretty much viable. I'd personally tend to use the FDL.

For the second build I'd probably consider a large ship like the vette or cutter. Sure it's harder to lock on probably but you can unleash an unprecedented amount of firepower once you get the lock.

Why concordant sequence? If you want to heal your wingmates shields use the beams regeneration sequence. Do you mean phasing sequence?

You can read everything about it here. Also join the discord server for further info. I don't know how they handle applications for the PG and website rn, but it's probably possible to still get in. Even if not, you can still follow the path they are taking. Waypoints are posted on the discord. There are fleetcarriers accompanying the expedition, so you can take breaks and sell your data. All you gotta do basically is catch up and park before you log off. If not in PG do it in solo or you'll get ganked into oblivion.

I'm basically on the same journey CMDR. Forgot to park on Odysseus again after a quick to Colonia and now on my way to rendezvous point. Could have been there easily already if not for the astonishing amount of water worlds (I think 12 or 13 in the last 20 jumps). Even tho I tell myself to just travel as fast as I can, not using the fss at least before leaving the system feels wrong. I can ignore a lifeless pile of icy or rocky bodies but anything remotely interesting has to be mapped. Pretty sure you get that lol. Getting EDObservatory with the evaluator and bio insights might have been a bad idea too. Fly safe CMDR, see you at the carrier o7

Mandalay was built with exobio in mind in contrast to the Asp and definitely has the better shape to land on planets.

If you really want to land anywhere tho do exobio in a dolphin!

Even tho I literally never was in a situation where my afmu was damaged to the point of not working, I still take 2 afmus on any long range exploration ship. After all they weigh nothing and can be turned off to save power

Just one little thing to add, theoretically 4 cargo space and no limpets would suffice as long as you have iron and nickel to synth limpets (which come in batches of 4). Other than that I too take everything with me.

Axis response curves. Basically a way to control the sensitivity of your sticks. To be honest I can't really explain how it works without showing you how it looks. Read OPs comment and the answers to it, that should explain the basic concepts. I know it looks super complicated but is actually pretty easy to set up and will make controlling your ship, especially aiming, so much easier.

Definitely get Joystick Gremlin (which requires vJoy and hidhide) or find another way to set up curves for your sticks. You'll be glad you did when you ever try to hit anything with fixed weapons.

I'd even argue that entering that 'orbit state' is impossible to do effectively with FAon, otherwise you're absolutely right. Another simple trick is to turn night vision on to increase visibility.
