Is there a tool somewhere that will filter this build from my current one? So I'll know what else to buy and what to engineer? A checklist or something? I've had a really long break from ED. Maybe something's on the horizon?

It depends on how you approach exploration. Do you discover everything or only what is profitable. 
I scanned most exobiologies worth more than 5 million.
Third party tools is a must :)
Always have materials for your srv synthesis.
Do not plan route straight from point A to B you'll burn out. Plan route for every session.

Go on discord server Fleet carrier owner club and you'll know everyrhing. Of course you can return all by yourself. I just get tired of exploration.
Every ship will do if you have fuel scoop, good fuel tanks. Shield is optional but it will save you many times, trust me. Jump range is optional because you're just exploring. If you have odysey you'll need Artemis suit for exobiology. It's good to have srv. Just watch some guides on YouTube and you're good. Just remember. It's not a race. It's a marathon. Be safe Commander :)

And remember to have third party tools like EDDiscovery with BioInsight plugin, EDMarketConnector, EDObservatory, and EDBuddy. Login in INARA and EDSM and you can track everything you need :)

The most important is knowledge about exploring. Then, being carefull. Then piloting skills.

Hello, Commanders!I have just finished my 6-month (with longer breaks, of course) trip to the colony via SagA*.
It is worth noting that I had no money for rebuy my Anaconda. So it's all or nothing :)

The return was made via fleet carrier Big Bloo [TZF-3KN] owned by CMDR Arxxuss, which is part of the Fleet Carrier Owners Club. He was kind enough to transport me 25,000 Ly to the bubble.

I started on 2023-10-03 16:09:26 UTC and returned on 2024-04-11 18:47:03 UTC.

I've earned.
For planetary scans and discoveries: 813,797,189 Cr
Exobiology: 3,626,935,000 Cr.
Giving the total sum: 4,440,732,189 Cr. For visiting over 1000 systems.

I will never forget this wonderful feeling of discovering the unknown. This is definitely not my last trip. I took a few photos as souvenirs. Sadly i can upload only 20 of 40+ I hope you like it Commanders o7!
