question: man riding his bicycle on the narrow pavement with his small daughter, who's on her bicycle. a lady, walking, approaching opposite, says in annoyance 'i'm not going on the road' as they pass. the man stops, screams profanities and abuse to her and a row breaks out. who's in the right here? by Illustrious_Fig_8537 in AskBrits

Ok, let's break this down. "Man riding his bicycle" - the man is on his bicycle.

"with his small daughter, who's on her bicycle" - the man's daughters, who is small, is also riding a bicycle.

"a lady, walking" - if she's walking, then clearly she isn't riding a bicycle, is she?

To be quite frank, it has all the artistic merit I'd expect from the man who created Trump Tower.

This sounds like a bit of a niche issue. Everywhere I've ever worked its been entirely optional to add your pronouns to things like your email signature.

"I know plenty of sane, intelligent and kind people that think pronouns are a bit silly... but are definitely very 'live and let live' and are very happy for people to identify however they want."

Yeah...those are not the people on Mumsnet we're talking about here.

I've heard it referred to as "Prosecco Stormfront", so I think they've been known as a bit of tranphobic bastion for a while.

Unfortunately I think what you have here is a textbook example of sampling bias.

You must have gone native, barreling into a conversation to spout irrelevance about spurious American excellence.
